Mr.EX, I Deserve Someone Better novel Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Oliver slammed on the brakes, and the two cars almost collided.

My heart skipped a beat.

Oliver immediately unbuckled his seatbelt and asked if I was okay.

My face was pale, but I smiled and shook my head, telling him not to

worry.

When I looked up out the car window again.

I saw Alexander getting out of his car and walking over.

The rain blurred the car window heavily.

But even with just a silhouette, I could be sure.

It was Alexander.

My hands trembled involuntarily.

Oliver also noticed the approaching figure.

He didn’t understand the situation, but he held my hand tightly to comfort me: “Don’t be afraid.”

Under his firm gaze, my heart settled.

That’s right.

Chapter 14

This is Northern Metropolis.

This is my turf.

I’m not afraid of Alexander.

Just as I was thinking this, Alexander had already reached the passenger window.

He tapped the glass, mouthing the words:

“Fernando, get out of the car.”

Only then did Oliver realize.

This man was coming for me.

With a click, the driver’s side door unlocked.

He was about to get out, but I pulled him back.

I said in a low voice: “I’ll go talk to him.”

Although Northern Metropolis and Southern Coastal City are far apart, business dealings are inevitable.

I didn’t want to cause trouble for Oliver before we were even married.

Seeing my firm attitude, Oliver nodded:

“Baby, call me immediately if anything happens.”

During our brief exchange, Alexander had already grown impatient.

He knocked on the window again.

His eyes grew increasingly fierce.

I unlocked, opened the door, and closed it.

Shutting the outside noise away.
