Chapter 152 Little Treat
Finished.
Adriana stared at Irene in surprise. How does she know I study architectural design? And that I’m going to Pastalia for school? Did Curtis tell her?
“Adriana, this is Wendy Blake. You should know her–she’s a famous designer and your senior in the field,” Irene said, introducing them.
She was helping Adriana build connections.
Adriana shook Wendy’s hand with respect. She looked humble, and her smile was warm and gentle. “Hello, I’ve always admired you. Your new–style project in Riverdale, the Stargazer Tower, won so many awards. It was amazing.”
Adriana was smart. She always prepared before coming to an event, and she remembered every major work from the designers she admired.
Wendy was a little surprised. She had already liked Adriana because of her tough past, but now she liked her
even more.
Stargazer Tower was one of Wendy’s proudest projects. The fact that Adriana could mention it meant she had done her homework.
“Curtis, you married well, Wendy praised with a smile.
Curtis pulled Adriana into his arms and smiled. “She still has a lot to learn from you.”
“Don’t worry. When she gets to Pastalia, I’ll introduce her to some friends in the field,” Wendy said.
Adriana felt her heart race with excitement. This was her first big step in building connections, and she didn’t expect it would go this well.
She was so happy that night. It wasn’t just because she made Nicole and Natasha lose face. The real reason. was that Curtis was willing to help her career. He wanted to support her. He wanted her to rise.
In the four years she spent with Matthew, he never cared about her studies. He never thought about helping her career. Even when he forced her into the Lincoln Group, he only made her work as his low–level personal assistant.
Matthew never cared that she had her own talents.
Maybe he didn’t want her to shine. If she shone, she could stand on her own and leave whenever she chose.
Matthew preferred her to be a soft little bunny.
Someone who needed him. Someone who stayed in his arms forever.
But Curtis wasn’t like that.
Even though their marriage was a contract marriage. Curtis respected her. He trusted her without question. He helped her and was willing to be her stepping stone.
“Curtis, can I kiss you?” Adriana asked on the ride home, eyes bright with excitement.

Chapter 152 Late Treat
Finisher
She was so happy that even drinking water made her feel a litle drunk.
Their driver quietly raised the privacy divider between the front and back seats.
Adhiana snapped back to reality. She had forgotten someone else was driving. Her face turned beer–red. She wished she could disappear
Curns smirked, picked her up, and pulled her into his lap. “You already teased me. Why stop halfway?
Adriana leaned against his chest, checks burning as she breathed in his scent.
She stared at Curtis for a moment, then leaned in and kissed him softly.
Curtis raised a brow, almost disappointed. “That’s it? You call that a kiss?”
Adriana blinked at him in confusion.
Those innocent, clear eyes were dangerous for Curtis. Deadly, even
He cupped the back of her head and kissed her again–properly this
time.
Adriana’s heart sped up. Does he really have no feelings for women? Has that just an excuse to get Harold off his backt
“You’re happy today. Is that why you’re giving me this little treat? Curtis teased.
Her face heated even more, and she nodded hard.
She was happy, So she wanted to kiss him.
And since they were still married, she might as well take advantage of it. After they divorced, she wouldn’t get another chance.
When the car stopped at the villa, the driver said, trying not to laugh, “Mr. Lincoln I’ll pick you and Mrs. Lincoln up at eight tomorrow morning for the prenatal check.”
Curtis nodded, helped Adriana out of the car, and walked her inside.
In early pregnancy, she needed regular blood tests. Curtis kept track of everything
Adriana looked at him, heart racing.
