Benjamin refused to back off as the man hoped. The only option left was to take a risk and make sure Benjamin met danger here, too.
Besides dreaming of Benjamin getting hurt, Nina also saw Chloe on the verge of death.
In the dream, both Benjamin and Chloe were in bad shape. Nina kept her eyes closed but cried so hard she nearly ran out of breath.
Her unrelenting wailing terrified Lucy.
The other children, who had been napping peacefully, were woken by the racket. They started crying too.
All the teachers rushed over to help. Lucy quickly carried Nina out of the room.
When the children saw Nina being carried away crying, and then heard no more sound from outside, Jerry -who had been howling loudly on his little bed–got terrified.
He had secretly watched TV dramas at home lately. There were scenes of murder to silence witnesses. In those shows, once someone got killed to cover tracks, they went silent.
Jerry recalled those scenes all too clearly.
Seeing Nina go quiet, Jerry closed his eyes and wailed even louder.
“Nina got killed! Teacher killed her!”
Jerry’s words frightened the other children even more.
Suddenly, every child’s cries grew louder.
Some kids even tried to run away.
“No kill me!”
“I so scared!”
“Grandma! Want Grandma!”
The children cried and ran around. The teachers felt like their heads would explode.
Several teachers worked to calm the panicked kids. Outside, Lucy carried Nina straight toward the entrance.
She walked quickly while calling Amelia.
“Nina suddenly started crying hard during nap. She’s crying too much. Can you come over?”
Amelia heard Nina was crying intensely and replied right away, “Okay, okay. I’m coming now. But it’ll take me a little time. Can you check the entrance?
“Nina’s uncle might still be there.
“See if he’s around. If not, just wait for me.”
Lucy agreed quickly.

Soon, carrying Nina, Lucy reached the door. Before she could look around fully, a tall figure rushed up to
her.
It was Daniel who had stayed waiting nearby.
The moment Lucy stepped out, Daniel heard Nina’s cries.
He knew Nina’s crying voice well.
“What’s wrong with Nina? Why is she crying so hard?”
Daniel had been buying ice pops in the store to kill time
He hadn’t checked the monitor.
Hearing Nina cry like this now, Daniel got so scared he dropped the ice pops.
He took Nina from Lucy’s arms immediately, panic welling up inside him.
Lucy was sweating too. “I don’t know what happened. Nina was sleeping fine, then suddenly started crying. She’s crying too much. I couldn’t calm her.”
Daniel looked down at Nina in his arms. Her little face was red from crying. Even her eyebrows looked flushed.
His heart sank. He remembered Nina’s prophetic dreams.
Nina’s dreams could foresee the future.
That’s why she initially blocked him from Zoe–to change his bad future.
Benjamin had told him that every time Nina had one of these dreams, she paid a price.
The cost could be anything from minor bumps and bruises to serious injuries caused by others.
They all wished Nina wouldn’t have these dreams. But they couldn’t control it.
Seeing Nina cry like this now, Daniel tried forcefully waking her while rushing home with her in his arms.
Soon, Nina woke up.
The moment she opened her eyes, she called for “Daddy” and “Auntie Chloe“.
Her calls made Daniel’s heart race with worry.
“Nina, what did you dream? What happened to your daddy and Aunt Chloe?”
Daniel asked what she saw in her dream.
But Nina was still scared. She cried and couldn’t explain clearly.
Amelia hurried home. She had experience with Nina’s dreams now.
She didn’t ask directly like Daniel what the dream was about.
