Chapter 251 Soothing Amelia
The moment his hand brushed against Amelia’s clothes, she jolted awake. “Nina!”
This time, Amelia had been dreaming, too–a dream about Nina up to her old mischief again.
Startled, her eyes flew
open.
And there she was, meeting Benjamin’s gaze.
Right now, Amelia’s clothes were disheveled, and Benjamin’s fingers were still resting on her clothes.
Both Amelia and Benjamin fell silent.
After two seconds of silence, Benjamin’s handsome face was unreadable. He continued what he was doing, calmly pulling her clothes back into place.
“Nina fussed over you for a while after she woke up,” he said, his tone normal, as if he hadn’t seen or done anything out of the ordinary.
His voice was calm, but Amelia’s face flushed. I really want to smother him with a pillow. Again.
“She fussed over me, too,” Benjamin added mildly, just as Amelia was about to act on her impulse. He tattled on what happened earlier. “She tried to poke my eyes again.”
Amelia glanced at his eyes.
They were perfectly fine, of course.
But when she thought about Nina’s strong little hands, she couldn’t bring herself to smother Benjamin with a pillow right after he’d been bullied by their daughter.
She took a deep breath and steadied herself. “Where’s Nina?”
Nina ran off after sips, leaving her behind.
Amelia was ready to give her a talking–to.
“She went outside,” Benjamin replied evenly.
Then he reminded her of today’s plans. “The Wilson family is waiting for you to come back. Nathan called me five times this morning.”
Amelia had a long journey back yesterday, so she didn’t go to Wilson Villa.

Even though the Wilson family was eager to see her, they thoughtfully let her rest first.
Amelia slept fairly well last night.
The Wilson family, however, did not.
Nathan was worried sick about Amelia, practically itching to rush over.
Benjamin suspected he barely slept at all last night.

“Huh, Nathan called that many times? How come he didn’t call me?” Amelia had only received caring WhatsApp messages from Nathan–no calls.
Hearing that, Benjamin offered an explanation offhandedly. “He didn’t want to disturb your
rest.”
Amelia said, “Alright then.”
She got out of bed to wash up, change, and get ready to head out.
Even though Benjamin had seen her body quite a few times, she still pushed him out of the room when it was time to change.
Benjamin had zero awareness–if she didn’t push him, he wouldn’t leave.
Amelia said, “Benjamin, we just started dating. I still care about my image.
“You shouldn’t always see me in awkward situations.
“It’ll ruin how you see me.”
Amelia had her pride when it came to romance. Tilting her face up–freshly washed with only water, yet still more stunning than anyone in full makeup–she puffed her cheeks and lectured him.
She went on and on, but Benjamin just looked down at her without saying a word.
He simply leaned in and kissed her lips.
Amelia was stunned. Again?
Caught off guard by the kiss, Amelia hadn’t even finished everything she wanted to say!
This kiss from Benjamin lasted quite a while.
His lips pressed against hers, and by the time he finally pulled back, Amelia’s legs were weak.

Maybe it was Benjamin’s healthy routine that kept him in such good shape.
His breath was warm, his solid chest radiating heat.
Amelia couldn’t push him away. “Mmm, no…”
The kiss left her heart racing and her knees weak.
If this goes on any longer, it feels dangerous!
Driven by sheer survival instinct, Amelia couldn’t help it–she bit Benjamin’s lip.
