Beyond that, he arranged to send money to the family of the child who had been killed.

That mother was in a terrible state-she was raising the child alone after her husband divorced her, farming in her village while taking odd jobs in the city, and never going anywhere without her boy.
Life had been a hard struggle.
Her child had been lured away by those three little demons while she was tending the fields.
The three had tormented him for a long time before finally pushing him into a river.
The Wilson family had taken on this old case.
Lily, the lawyer, was helping with filing a lawsuit.
None of the adults were idle; each was fiercely protective of their own children.
Vance and Iris seemed deeply shaken by the events.
It was said that they had both taken extended leave to stay home with their kids.
While the adults were busy, Lucien, Barry, and Nelson were even busier.
As the adults dealt with the grown-ups, the three boys, gathering other kids their age, gave the three little demons a brutal beating.
The bullies were left bruised and battered.
They thought that was the end of it.
They didn’t expect to be abducted and tormented for an entire night.
The next morning, they were dumped on their doorsteps, covered in injuries.
Their parents called the police, but the investigation turned

With the lollipop in her mouth, she moved everything from the coffee table into the drawers.
Then, she climbed onto the coffee table and sat there.
After a while, she went to look at a book, opened it… and tore out the pages.
Soon, the once tidy office was a mess-scraps of paper, tissues pulled out, and toys littered the floor.
Nina had thoroughly redecorated.
Benjamin didn’t stop her.
He was in the middle of an international video conference with CEOS from several corporations, including Lester, whom Benjamin couldn’t stand.
Lester’s face, however, was new and interesting.
Her chubby finger had just pointed at Lester when Benjamin, expressionless, lifted her off his lap.
He said, “Sophia, take her to watch TV.”
Sophia came over and picked her up, but Nina protested, squirming in her arms.
Then Sophia patiently coaxed her, “Nina, let’s watch TV. What do you wanna watch?”
Nina said. “Piggy.”
Nina’s attention was diverted by Sophia, and her chubby little feet stopped kicking.
Sophia settled her on the sofa and put on an episode of Peppa Pig.
Nina watched the grunting little piggy and started imitating the sounds.
Sophia smiled at the adorable sight.
Benjamin returned to the meeting.
Everyone on the call knew each other, so the atmosphere wasn’t overly formal.
Lester was famously ruthless and unfeeling, and he exchanged no pleasantries with Benjamin.
However, another participant, the witty and humorous Isaac Doherty, chuckled and teased, “Benjamin, was that your daughter? She’s adorable. And who was she complimenting just now?”
Another executive, who enjoyed playing off Isaac, remarked dryly, “Definitely not you. Judging by where she pointed, it was Lester. Lester’s appearance is always rather captivating. Benjamin’s, too, of course.”
The heavy business talk paused momentarily, turning into light banter.
