Ms. Escape Marrying to Run Fighting to Rise novel Chapter 285

Chapter 285 A Trip Outside

“Grandpa, go!” Nina was ready to leave immediately.

William sighed, “You need to sleep first.”

He couldn’t be harsh with her; he could only coax her.

But clearly, gentle tactics weren’t working on Nina.

Just as William was at his wits’ end, Amelia, who had woken up suddenly in the middle of the night and found only Benjamin beside her, sat up immediately.

“Nina? Nina?” Calling out with no response, she hurried out to look.

Soon, she found Nina in the playroom, having the time of her life.

Seeing Amelia, Nina blinked, then tried to make a quick run for it.

Amelia, face dark, scooped her up and carried her back to bed.

“Nina, can’t you just be good for once?” she asked.

Amelia was constantly exasperated by her daughter.

She felt Nina’s back. Even in the middle of the night, Nina had worked up a sweat.

Resigned, Amelia changed Nina’s pajamas and forced her to sleep.

The next day, Nina finally woke up a little later than usual.

Rubbing her eyes, her brain still booting up, her mouth started talking, “Daddy, playground again?”

Having enjoyed herself yesterday, she wanted a repeat.

Benjamin, already dressed for work, looked at the little girl sitting on the bed. “No. I have to work.”

Nina shook her head. “Go!”

Benjamin glanced at her and suddenly said, “Let the pretty guy take you.”

Amelia didn’t understand it, but the still-groggy Nina on the bed nodded.

After nodding, she asked seriously, “Where he?”

Benjamin was silent for two seconds, then turned and walked away.

Seeing him leave, Nina wasn’t happy.

She climbed up, climbed over the blanket to the edge of the bed, and called after him, “Daddy! Wait me! Wait!”

But Benjamin didn’t wait.

As Nina was on the verge of tears, Amelia quickly changed her clothes.

She said, “Alright, don’t cry. Daddy is waiting for you. He’s having breakfast in the dining room. Hurry up and wash your face, then we’ll go find him.”

Amelia carried Nina to the bathroom, swiftly supervising her tooth-brushing.

Nina tried to leave right after brushing her teeth.

After covering his face with kisses, she even let him feed her breakfast this morning as a treat.

Benjamin skillfully fed her.

After breakfast, Nina was still glued to his leg.

She wanted to go out with him again today.

Seeing this, Amelia simply took her to daycare together with Benjamin.

Having missed a day of daycare, Nina didn’t want to go again.

She looked at them with tear-filled eyes, wanting to leave with them.

But Sally picked her up and carried her into the classroom.

The children in the classroom were thrilled to see her.

“Nina! You here!”

“Nina, you not die!”

“Nina, want candy?”

While the other kids were excited, Nina just sniffled, a little sad.

She really didn’t like school and just wanted to go play.

“Kids, we have a very special activity today!” Sally announced enthusiastically. “We’re going on a trip to see a children’s art exhibition! Would you all like to go?”

Among the happy and not-so-happy children, Sally’s announcement about a trip outside finally made Nina a little less sad.

Munching on the candy Dulce had given her and wearing the little yellow vest the teacher gave her, she got on the bus for the outing.
