If his wife heard and got suspicious, she might actually kill him.

Terrified, Michael tried to comfort himself, murmuring, “It’s fine. She won’t come to my house. We won’t see each other. Nothing will happen.”
While Michael was busy reassuring himself, Nina, having woken up early, wandered into the kitchen at home.
She saw the roast piglet Daniel had bought last night.
The nanny had taken it out to carve, but before she could, Nina tugged on her clothes, already eyeing the piglet.
“What that?” Nina asked, looking up.
She didn’t immediately recognize the roasted piglet.
“It’s roasted piglet. A roasted little piggy. Do you want some? I’ll heat up a piece for you,” the nanny replied honestly.
Nina stared blankly. “Peppa?”
The nanny, having seen Peppa Pig in short videos, knew Peppa was a pig.
After a moment’s thought, she nodded. “Yes, that’s right. Do you want some, Nina?”
Nina’s mouth fell slightly open, her eyes widening even more.
Thinking she wanted it, the nanny quickly cut off a prime piece and put it in the oven to warm
Just as the oven started, Nina, standing by her leg, burst into tears. “No! No eat Peppa! No eat Peppa!”
Nina had been really into Peppa Pig lately. She wanted to keep watching Peppa, not eat her!
Her wails were ear-splitting, quickly drawing the whole family.
William took one look at the roast pig and knew what had happened. “Where’s Daniel?” he
asked.
The nanny said, “He left the house earlier…”
Daniel had made a quick escape, avoiding another round of scolding.

Esstied
Nina was inconsolable, no matter how everyone coaxed her.
Amelia turned on Peppa Pig, telling her Peppa wasn’t the one being eaten.
Nina still didn’t believe it.
“Peppa out!” she wailed, pointing at the TV.
She wanted Peppa to come out and play with her.
Amelia didn’t have that power.
Just as all the adults were trying to soothe her, the nanny brought over the warmed piece of “Peppa meat”-no, suckling pig meat.
It smelled delicious. Nina’s cries hitched for a second.
Seizing the moment, William swiftly popped the meat into her mouth.
Amelia was concerned Nina would be too much for William to handle.
Nina, who loved going out more than anything, immediately shook her head. “No, no! Nina go out! Nina good!”
Seeing her insistence, Amelia didn’t stop her.
Soon, they were off.
Before leaving, Nina, wearing her little backpack, waved to Amelia. “Mommy, bye-bye!”
“Bye-bye,” Amelia replied, then said to William, “If Nina acts up, just call us. Benjamin said he can come get her.”
William chuckled, “Nina is good. She won’t act up.”
He was totally doting on Nina.
For this trip, William brought two nannies from home, worried Nina might not like the food where they were going.
He knew he might not handle every detail perfectly, so having the nannies along put his mind
at ease.
Nina was already familiar with the nannies and wouldn’t refuse their care.
They set off with lots of luggage and extra hands.
Watching them leave, Amelia sighed, feeling worried.
