Alexander’s POV
I looked at her, searching for any sign of discomfort or uncertainty, but I found none.
At that moment, all I could see was the love and warmth I had been longing to see in her. Her brown eyes mirrored my own—the same longing, the same desire, the same certainty about what she wanted.
I leaned in again, capturing her soft, warm lips with mine, but this time the kiss was more urgent. I started by gently sucking on her lower lips, but soon it became desperate, silently begging for entrance, and once again, she gave it to me.
She parted her lips ever so slightly, just enough to let my tongue slip in and entwine with hers.
That feeling...
That incredible feeling that made me lose all sense of reason.
A low sound escaped into her mouth, and she answered with one of her own, making me even more desperate, even more demanding.
I finally pulled away from the kiss and supported her back with one arm so I could reach for the hem of her nightdress, she stiffened for a moment,so I stopped. Before doing anything else, I looked up at her once more.
"We can still stop if you’re uncomfortable."
My voice came out hoarse.
Instead of answering, she closed her eyes briefly and swallowed then leaned forward and slipped the nightdress over her head, then I unclasped her bra revealing the breathtaking beauty I’d missed for the past two years.
"Damn..." I muttered and glanced at her face again.
Without another thought, I lowered myself, pressing gentle kisses wherever my lips could reach. Soft moans escaped her lips—the most beautiful sound I’d heard in a very long time.
She tried to muffle them, but I teased her gently by her nipples.
"Don’t..." I whispered. "Let me hear you."
She reached for my shirt and I let her help me slip out of it, before leaning over her again....
As the night grew deeper, so did we,so did the emotions we had kept buried for years.
Time seemed to lose all meaning, and no matter how much I held her, it still wasn’t enough.
No matter how deeper I went,it wasn’t enough.
The room echoed with her soft moans and my restrained groans.
At some point, Alicia drifted off to sleep, exhausted. Even then, I found it difficult to let go after spending two long years yearning for her.
When she stirred again, clearly tired, I finally forced myself to stop.
By dawn, her eyelids were too heavy to remain open, and we were both too exhausted to move.
I leaned down, pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, and whispered against her ear,
"Go to sleep."
Her eyes slowly closed, and within moments, she drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Not long after...
I followed.
That night, I slept more peacefully than I had in years, comforted by the warmth of the woman I loved beside me and by the certainty that, for the first time in two years, I would wake up next to her once again...
The next morning, I woke to find Alicia still nestled against my chest. She still looked exhausted, her full, plump lips slightly pouted as her chest rose and fell with each peaceful breath.
I was already late for my usual routine and should have been in the gym by now, but I didn’t want her to wake up alone. I wanted to be the first person she saw when she opened her eyes after our passionate night together.
As I lay there watching her, the morning sunlight streamed into the room, illuminating her beautiful face and graceful features. Her bare shoulders and neck were marked with the hickeys I’d left behind—or rather, her entire body still carried traces of me.
For the first time in a very long while, I felt completely at peace.
Alicia was the first woman I had ever been with.
The first woman to affect me in ways that even I found terrifying.
When we first got married, I kept telling myself it was nothing more than an obligation.
At the time, I had always planned to divorce her someday because I was convinced I didn’t love her and that she also loved someone else.
I thought that if Lilian’s persistence couldn’t make me abandon my own principles, then Alicia—who felt like a complete stranger living under the same roof—would never be able to affect me either.
But I was wrong.
Something that had started so subtly eventually became impossible to ignore.
One night, I returned home and couldn’t stop myself from climbing into bed beside her.
I thought she would refuse.
