I found my parents In their private sitting room-the space they retreated to when they wanted family time away. from the main pack house activity.

Mom was curled up on the couch with a book. Dad was doing paperwork at the desk by the window. Domestic. Comfortable. The kind of scene I’d witnessed my entire life-my parents existing together in easy/companionship after years of rebuilding their bond.
