My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 529

Hannah didn't say a word. Instead, it was Samuel who burst out laughing.

"Lionel, oh Lionel. When you said that, did your heart not skip a beat? You really have no shame at all, do you? How dare you say something like that?"

Even Sandra, standing nearby, thought Lionel was a fool for saying that.

Hannah put down her cup but remained silent, pulling out her phone and starting a game.

Lionel had thought she was about to speak and had opened his mouth in anticipation, but seeing her actions, he had no choice but to close it again.

Samuel, however, wasn't finished. "You talk about your years of history with Hannah, and you're upset she doesn't believe you. But let me ask you, have you ever believed Hannah?"

"If things hadn't gotten to this point, I doubt you would believe her even now. In the three years you were married, did you ever believe her even once?"

"I think if you had trusted Hannah just one time, she might be willing to trust you now. You never believed her, yet you demand she believe you. You've really got some nerve."

Lionel was stunned into silence by his words.

He was right. In their three years of marriage, he had never once believed Hannah. Every time she had tried to explain herself, he had dismissed her, convinced she was lying to him.

Lionel opened his mouth to explain, to say it was all because Sandra had been deceiving him, and he suddenly realized what was happening. He said excitedly,

"Hannah, listen to me! Sandra has been playing both of us for fools! The reason I treated you that way back then was because she was lying to me, and now she's trying to lie to you too! This is all her fault, don't believe her!"

Throughout all this, Sandra remained completely silent.
