My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 620

Hearing him suddenly utter words that almost sounded like concern, Lionel's brow tightened.

"What does it matter to you who beat me up? Quennel, at this point, don't you dare give me some crap about how we're brothers, we're family, and that's why you came to check on me!"

In the entire Rosenberg family, Quennel was the one who hated him the most, who wished he would just disappear or die.

For him to show up now with such words was highly suspicious.

"Relax. I wouldn't shed a tear even if you died," Quennel said, his face devoid of expression.

"I just want to know who you provoked, what they're after, and whether it will affect Hannah."

Quennel looked at him, his tone deadly serious. "If they end up targeting Hannah because of you, then you... will have hell to pay!"

After hearing Quennel's words, Lionel froze for several seconds, his eyes wide with horror.

He hadn't considered that before, but now, a creeping fear began to settle in.

That's right. What if by interfering, he had ruined their plans and made them hate Hannah even more? What if they decided to go after her while he was stuck in the hospital?

Then... even if he knew, he wouldn't be able to do anything to help!

Would he have indirectly put Hannah in danger?

Lionel recounted everything that had happened the previous day to Quennel.

He had expected Quennel to praise him for his actions, but as he spoke, Quennel's expression grew increasingly grim.

"No wonder Hannah was so disgusted with you when she found out. Lionel, you got exactly what you deserved!"

He cursed coldly, "She must have had a plan, but you just had to take matters into your own hands, acting like you were doing her a favor. And then you even expected her to thank you? You've got to be kidding me!"

"Quennel, I told you about this because I need you to deal with them, not to lecture me!"

Lionel instantly regretted telling him. He had thought that since Quennel cared for Hannah, he would surely help resolve the situation. He never expected to get a scolding instead!
