He raised his fist and threw a vicious punch right into Benjamin's face.
Benjamin stumbled back a few steps from the impact. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth with a sinister grin, he lunged at Tristan, pinning him to the ground and raining down heavy blows.
Tristan kicked upward, flipping Benjamin over and sending him crashing to the dirt.
Seizing the opportunity, he immediately turned and sprinted after Emily. But Benjamin was relentless, charging forward and grabbing his arm.
"Your fight is with me. Where do you think you're going?"
Consuming rage burned through Tristan as he fought desperately to break free, but Benjamin's grip was ironclad, holding him back.
"Benjamin."
Watching Emily being carried away by one of the thugs, Tristan ground his teeth and let out a low, feral growl. "You're a dead man."
Fueled by his fury, Tristan's attacks grew increasingly savage. Even Benjamin struggled to defend himself, forced into a staggered retreat. Yet, Benjamin was undeniably stubborn; despite his face being battered black and blue, he refused to release Tristan's arm.
Whenever Emily lifted her head, she could see Tristan and Benjamin locked in a brutal brawl. Panic clawed at her chest, and she kicked her legs wildly in resistance.
"Let me go! Let go!"
The man carrying her remained dead silent, his strides steady and purposeful.
Staring at the side of his neck, a fierce glint flashed in Emily's eyes. She sank her teeth into his flesh with every ounce of strength she possessed. The metallic taste of blood flooded her mouth, but she swallowed her disgust and bit down even harder.
Finally eliciting a reaction, the man let out a pained groan.
Cursing under his breath, he reached up and grabbed a fistful of her hair, trying to yank her head back.
A searing pain ripped through Emily's scalp, but she refused to let go, her jaw locked in a vice grip. She could feel his warm blood seeping out, trailing slowly down her cheek.
Gritting his teeth against the agony, the man hurled a vicious insult. "Bitch, let go of me!"
Emily turned a deaf ear to his yelling.
Desperate, he began hammering his fist against the back of her head. Blinding pain pounded through Emily's skull, yet she still didn't loosen her hold.
