With Chris’s father confirming it, not only was Chris stunned, but so was Cora.

The entire room was instantly in chaos, the noise rising like an explosion.

“What? Can someone pinch me? Is this really happening, or am I dreaming?”

Someone actually reached out and pinched the person next to them, making him scream in pain.

“Oh my god! So it’s true!”

“Emilia is really the Shannon Stone from the Stone family!”

“We were just mocking her and looking down on her earlier… now we’re in big trouble.”

“Wha… what should we do now? Just a while ago, we were helping Chris and that damn little bitch tear

Shannon’s clothes off!”

I could hear voices of fear and panic around me, everyone praying I wouldn’t hold their actions against them,

hoping I’d forget their mistakes.

I had said before that anyone who dared laugh at me, I would turn them into the joke instead.

Chris’s father was the first to react. He kicked Cora, sending her sprawling in front of me.

“You troublemaker! What gave you the nerve to go against Ms. Stone?”

“And you dared to have those old men tear her clothes off, and make Ms. Stone crawl out like a dog. How many lives do you think you have to be reckless?”

Cora was stunned by the kick, falling to the ground, once again lying at my feet like a dog.

But this time, no one dared to give her the confidence to act arrogantly anymore.

She looked at Chris, signaling him for help.

But Chris didn’t even spare her a glance. He kept his eyes on me the whole time.

Chris’s father glared at Cora. “The reason the Stevens family is where it is today is all thanks to Ms. Stone.”

“I didn’t know before, but after I went to New York, I saw her sitting at the head of a group of rich businessmen, leading them in negotiations. That’s when I realized my daughter–in–law was such an incredible

person.”

“She had planned to reveal her true identity to you tonight, to take you back to New York and introduce you to her family as their Boss.”

Chris widened his eyes in shock, his entire body shaking uncontrollably.

He looked at me, mouth agape, but no words came out.

Reality wouldn’t allow him to stay silent any longer. After glancing at his phone, Chris’s father hurriedly turned to me, pleading, “Emilia, I’m begging you… Please make them stop!”

“The Stevens Group’s stocks are plummeting. If this continues… our family will be ruined.”

I calmly straightened my clothes, my eyes cold and devoid of any emotion.

“I’ve said it before, I can take the Stevens family to the top, but I can also bring them down into the mud.”

Without hesitation, Chris’s father slapped Chris across the face. “What are you still doing standing there? Hurry up and apologize to Ms. Stone, or are you trying to destroy our family?”

Finally snapping back to reality, Chris seemed to realize that only I could undo the damage. In a sudden burst of rage, he kicked Cora sharply in the face.

“This is all your fault! You’re the reason my marriage fell apart!”

“Someone, hold her down. Make her crawl out like a dog just as she promised!”
