My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 188

The hallway was dimly lit, the flickering overhead lights casting long, jagged shadows along the walls.

Lily had barely rounded the corner when a hand shot out, gripping her wrist, hard. Before she could even gasp, her back slammed against the cold, rough surface of the wall, the impact knocking the breath from her lungs.

David’s body pressed against hers, his chest a solid, unyielding weight pinning her in place. His fingers dug into her jaw, forcing her head back until her gaze locked with his. His eyes were dark, almost black in the low light, burning with something raw and untamed.

“What the hell are you doing?” Lily hissed, her voice a venomous whisper.

Her pulse hammered in her throat, her body reacting before her mind could catch up, heat pooling low in her stomach, her nipples tightening against the thin fabric of her blouse. “Someone could see us.”

David didn’t flinch. His thumb traced the sharp line of her jawbone, his grip unrelenting. “Don’t you have something to say to me?” His voice was a low growl, rough and demanding, sending a shiver down her spine.

Lily’s lips twisted into a smirk, defiance flashing in her eyes despite the way her body betrayed her. “No. I don’t.”

His fingers tightened, just shy of painful, and he leaned in closer, his breath hot against her lips. “Lily,” he murmured, his voice a dark caress, “you’re playing with fire.”

She could feel the heat radiating off him, the hard ridge of his cock pressing against her thigh through his slacks.

Her hands flew to his chest, shoving against the solid wall of muscle, but he didn’t budge an inch. “David, have you lost your fucking mind?” she snapped, her voice trembling with a mix of fury and something far more dangerous. “Let me go.”

His gaze dropped to her mouth, lingering there, his breath ghosting over her parted lips. The air between them crackled, thick with tension, with the unspoken things that had been simmering for far too long.

His free hand slid down her side, his fingers splaying over her hip before gripping tight, pulling her flush against him. She could feel every inch of him, hard, demanding, owning the space between them.

“Or what?” he whispered, his lips brushing hers as he spoke, the words a challenge, a dare.

Lily’s breath hitched. The question hung in the air, heavy and suffocating, wrapping around them like a vice. She should push him away.

She should knee him in the balls and storm off. She should do something. But her body refused to obey. Instead, her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, her nails digging in as if she were trying to anchor herself to him rather than escape.

“Or what, David?” she repeated, her voice barely more than a breathless whisper. Her thighs clenched together, the ache between her legs growing unbearable. She could smell him, leather, spice, and something darker, muskier. It made her head spin.

His smirk was slow, predatory. “You gonna make me regret it?” His hand slid up, his fingers tangling in her hair, yanking just enough to tilt her head back further, exposing the delicate line of her throat.

His lips grazed the sensitive skin beneath her ear, his teeth scraping lightly before he bit down just hard enough to make her gasp. “You gonna beg me to stop?”
