My Husband's Affair My Anniversary Gift (Lily and David) novel Chapter 386

Riyana was still in bed when the doorbell rang.

The sound pulled her out of sleep. She sat up slowly, sunlight already filling the room. She rubbed her face before opening her eyes properly. The other side of the bed was empty.

She stepped down onto the floor and walked out of the room.

The moment she reached the living area, she froze.

Rose was standing there, staring at her in shock.

Jabco was at the door.

He had been in the kitchen when the bell rang. When he opened the door and saw Rose, he was stunned too.

Rose let out a small, almost disbelieving laugh when she saw Riyana coming out of the bedroom.

“You two are really married?” she asked, looking from her sister to Jabco. She still couldn’t believe it. If she hadn’t come today, she never would have.

Riyana let out a tired breath. “What are you doing here?” she asked as she walked to the sofa and sat down lazily.

Jabco give Riyana a warm look before turning and walking back into the kitchen.

Rose quickly followed Riyana and sat across from her, throwing her handbag onto the sofa.

“Have you gone mad?” she snapped.

Riyana stayed calm. “I’m not. But you seem to be.”

Rose’s expression hardened. Her jaw tightened. “You know I’ve always liked him. And you still decided to marry him. And without telling Mum and Dad. On top of that, he’s your boss.”

She was furious.

Riyana leaned back against the sofa, unbothered. “I warned you many times not to let your mind wander into nonsense. Whether you like him or not is not my problem. As for Mum and Dad, I’ll talk to them once Dad gets better. You don’t need to worry.”

She looked straight at Rose. “This is between us. I don’t want you interfering.”

Rose was so angry she couldn’t even respond properly. Her eyes drifted toward the kitchen.

Jabco was moving around, busy making breakfast.

She stared.

Jabco Grey. The CEO of Grey Corporation. Standing in the kitchen, cooking.

Her gaze snapped back to Riyana, jealousy burning in her chest. Why was Riyana always the lucky one? Rose hated it.

She hated seeing her sister living so calmly, so happily.

“Rose,” Riyana said firmly, “I’ve always treated you like my own sister. Don’t even think about betraying my trust.”

She saw the hatred flash in Rose’s eyes.

“I don’t want our relationship to turn bad,” Riyana added.

Rose scoffed quietly, hiding it behind a fake calm. She grabbed her bag and walked toward the door.

“Rose,” Riyana called after her.

But Rose walked out without turning back and slammed the door shut.

Riyana’s heart tightened.

She never expected Rose to show up like this, or react so strongly. Still, she didn’t think too deeply about it. Rose was emotional but not someone who held grudges for long. She had always liked Jabco, so seeing her sister married to him must have been a shock.

She would forget it soon. At least, that’s what Riyana believed.

“What happened?” Jabco asked as he came over, placing his hands gently on her shoulders. “Did she say something?”

Riyana shook her head, though her face remained tense.
