He kept on tightening his grip and I let out a yelp.

"Hey, is everything okay here?" one of the bus boys asked looking at me and Charlie

"We are" he replied

I looked at the boy who had to be about John's age with pleading eyes.

"Are you okay, Miss?" he asked me

"I said we are fine." Charlie answered him again and this time not a friendly

"I wasn't asking you. Miss, is this man bothering you?" he asked

I looked up at Charlie and then at the bus boy.

"Yes he is," I told him and Charlie released my wrist with a shocked expression on his face.

"You just made a mad choice beautiful." He said low enough only I could hear.

When Charlie was out of hearing range or at least when the bus boy thought, knowing Charlie he would have shifted his human ears for his wolf ears. Only male wolves can shift certain part of their bodies into wolf form.

"Are you alright?" the boy asked

"Yeah I am now. Thank you" I said giving him a weak smile

"No problem" he said with a smile and went back to parking cars

I hurried inside letting the warm air surround me. The hotel lobby was all decorated for Christmas with a giant tree decorated with white lights and red and gold ornaments. The lobby had Christmas lights and wreaths hanging on the walls and brocades of poinsettias on side tables. I walked up to the entrance of the restaurant where the maitre d' was standing.

"Good evening Miss," He said with a smile

"Good evening" I replied and I waited for him ask me what my name was

"Umm I have a reservation?" I said sliding off my coat showing off my dress

"Oh," he said looking down at his podium and clearing his throat, "What name?"

"Either Davidson or Thomson"

"Ah yes follow me, please. The other members of the party are already here." He said leading me through the restaurant smiling and saying 'Hello' to everyone. Well, he did his job well, sweet talking people. He led me through the main dining hall and at the back of the hall were private dining rooms where hopefully John would be waiting.

"The dining room lies behind that curtain." He told me gesturing forward and walked away.

I didn't know what to say to him.

Jackie poked her head form behind John and looked at me with concerned eyes

"Morgan it isn't like this." She said pushing john aside

I just shook my head and let the tears fall down my face.

"He doesn't want me." I said to her.

He told me he wanted his mate and now. Now he thinks he is better off without me. I wanted to get out of there so I did first came to mind. Run.

I ran away from him and my Alpha who was yelling at me to come back. I ran through the main dining hall and past the maitre d'. I maneuvered myself through the lobby and didn't care about the looks I was getting my heart hurt and I was sick of it hurting. I throw open the door and the bus boy who had helped me with Charlie look at me with a sad expression.

"Miss, are you alright?" he asked but I didn't stop running.

I didn't care about my car or anything at this point I just wanted this pain to go away. I ran thinking that it would make the pain go away. Thinking that my heart would stop it's wanting for him. It didn't. My mother always told me to face life and not run from it but she didn't know that at the time my mate would think he was better off without me.

I didn't know where I was going all I knew was that I didn't want to see him or Ash or Jackie or my father. I need my mom. I needed her and before I knew it I was with her.
