"Will she be okay?" I asked turning to her and then at my mate.
She gave me a small smile, "She will be alright, son. She is a fighter," my mother replied.
I let out a sigh and sat down next to her pushing some of her hair that fell out of place.
"When will she wake up?" I asked anxious to see her and hold her in my arms, to make her mine.
"I don't know," she said, "whenever her body decides to,"
"I wish she would decide now," I said to myself
She laughed, "I do too so I don't have to worry about you beating yourself up over this," She said placing her hand on my shoulder.
When I didn't say anything she took it that I didn't believe what she was saying. I didn't. This was my fault. Why wouldn't anyone accept that?
"Jonathan Thomason Clark you look me in the eyes and tell me you do not believe otherwise," she said grabbing my chin and forcing me to look at her.
"Mom I can't," I said honestly.
"John you couldn't have done anything more than what you did. If Morgan was out there by herself she might have not made it here without you," She said to me, "You saved her," she said proudly.
I gave her a smile and looked back to my Morgan. I just sat there and watched her. I now know why that stupid vampire guy found it so freaking fascinating to watch his love sleep. I watch her chest rise up and down, and listened to her heart beat. After awhile my mom slipped out and left me alone with her. I was afraid to touch her and cause her more pain but I had to touch her. I had to make sure she was real and that she was alright. I gently caressed her cheek with my hand when she moaned. Her eyes began to flutter and then they were wide open. Those beautiful emerald eyes filled with love and innocence. She looked up to me and gave me a small smile.
"Hey,"
"Hey," she said in a weak voice.
She looked around the room and then at her body. Her eye filled with sadness. She looked at me and then began to pull the sheets over her arms.
"I love you," I told her
"I love you too," she replied and I gave her a kiss on the forehead before I tucked her back under the sheets.
I needed to get out of these closes so I turned to my closet when Morgan anxiously asked, "Where are you going?"
I turned back to her, "I am going to be right back, I just need to get out of these clothes," I said.
My shirt had blood stains all over it and my pants had mud, grass, and blood stains as well. I went into my closet and picked out a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt. Umm, I skipped the T-shirt and just went with the sweatpants. Not to brag but I have a very nice upper body. All male wolves do it is part of who we are. Our mates like it so we have adapted to having good upper bodies. So I wanted to see how Morgan would react to me. I walked out of my closet and I heard Morgan gasp. I looked up at her to see her reaction, well; it was what I was going for. Her eyes were wide and cheeks were the color of a red rose. A smug smile formed on my lips and I walked back over to sit on the bed. When I sat down I heard Morgan gulp and I had to laugh which made her cheeks turn another shade darker.
Morgan's P.O.V
John walked out of his closet and I couldn't believe his body. I had never seen him without his shirt on. At pool parties he would always where a surf shirt over him. It isn't like I never imaged him without one it is just that this was totally better than my imagination. He had fully defined abs with a six pack. His arm muscles were defined and shaped. I just wanted to jumped on him and let me claim me now. The thought made me blush. No, stop it, stupid teenage hormones. He walked over to the side of the bed and I got nervous was he planning on claiming now. I gulped and he laughed. Great now I look like a lobster. He is never going to want to claim me. I wasn't ready for that, I mean I want to but I don't want to be worrying that I might be in pain because of my bite marks.
