My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce novel Chapter 164

Ray and Molly headed toward the cafeteria.

The moment they reached the entrance, the cafeteria doors swung open. A group of young people stood inside, faces lit with excitement as they stared at them.

Are you rescue personnel sent by the government?the university students asked eagerly.

Ray shook his head. Sorry. We’re just here to look for someone.

Molly quickly added, Do you know Katie Cora?

Although disappointment flashed across their faces, the students all nodded.

Of course we know her! Katie is our campus bellehow could we not?

Ray nodded to himself. Molly was beautiful; it wasn’t surprising at all that her younger sister was Senna University’s campus

belle.

You look a lot like our campus belle. You’re her older sister, right?a female student asked.

Molly nodded. Yes. Do you know where Katie is now?

The girl thought for a moment, then said, If she’s not in the West Cafeteria, then she’s probably already starved to death.

Oh? There were two cafeterias?

Molly nodded. Thank you.

As she spoke, she reached for Ray, ready to leave.

But just as they turned around, their path was blocked.

We’d like to borrow your car. That’s okay, right?a male student said with a smile.

Molly’s expression darkened.

Borrow? That car was the key to whether she could find her sisterand to taking her sister away from this place afterward. How could she possibly lend it out?

Besides, the car wasn’t even hers.

No,Ray said calmly, shaking his head.

The male student’s face hardened. Hey, man, take a look at the situation. People are about to starve to death, and you’re just going to stand by and watch?

Ray chuckled. We’re neither family nor friends. Why am I obligated to care whether you live or die?

That remark instantly enraged the group. The students stepped forward as one.

Molly might once have been a frail girl, but years in prison had forged her into a fighter. She immediately clenched her fists, her gaze sharp and unyielding.

Ray simply smiled and drew his handgun. Which one of you wants to try?

A gun.

Their scalps tingled. Trying meant dying.

The students began backing away.

Suddenly, a powerful sense of danger surged through Ray. His instinct reacted faster than his thoughts. To his left, a spatial rift opened, swallowing an object that was hurtling toward him at extreme speed.

A quick mental scan revealed it to be a basketball.

With another thought, Ray released it again, subtly altering its trajectory so that it streaked past just above his head.

He didn’t want to expose his secret. If people knew what he could really do, it would be much harder to catch them off guard.

A moment later, the tearing sound of the air could be heard.
