Chapter 188
“You know now that ability users exist in this world,” Ray said calmly. “Doug was one. So am I. You can probably guess what my ability is. And I can tell you this–I control a huge amount of supplies. A lot. Enough for you to eat meat and fish every day for several lifetimes.
“I also have a villa. There’s electricity, heating, and hot showers. If you follow me, you get all of that. The choice is yours.”
After speaking, Ray put away the food and drinks, storing them back in his otherworldly storage space.
The fire of desire inside him was burning hotter and hotter. There was no way he could wait for Heather to finish eating.
If she agreed, they would start immediately.
If she refused? Then he’d silence her.
He had saved her life. Taking it would be perfectly reasonable, right?
As for his desire? He could always find someone else. A few packs of instant noodles would be enough to settle that.
Heather hesitated for a while. Then she glanced again at John’s corpse and finally nodded.
“Well?” Ray clearly wasn’t about to let her off that easily.
Heather flushed with shame and shot him an angry glare. “I said I agree!”
Only then did Ray break into a smile. “Let’s go.”
He led Heather downstairs. They didn’t run into anyone along the way–good. That saved him the trouble of killing witnesses.
One, it wasted bullets; two, he wasn’t a murder maniac who got pleasure from killing.
Unless absolutely necessary, he really didn’t like killing.
At least, that’s what Ray said.
With a thought, his G-Class appeared out of thin air.
Even though Heather already knew Ray had extraordinary abilities, seeing a beast of a vehicle materialize before her eyes still left her staring, mouth agape.
This was absurd.
“After you,” Ray said, opening the door.
The moment Heather got in, a wave of warmth washed over her, so comfortable that she let out a soft hum.
Ray’s heart stirred at her beauty. He started the car and drove straight to the athletic field.
It was completely empty. Anyone approaching would be visible from far away.
It was very safe.
An hour later, Ray finally calmed down.
This was the downside of absorbing abilities–it triggered an intense surge of desire.
But compared to the gains… this side effect was nothing.
The maximum size of his spatial portal had increased to twenty by twenty meters.

What did that mean?
In theory, he could store an entire villa inside it–provided the foundation was dug out first. His storage space could only take independent objects, but as long as something was independent and didn’t exceed the dimensions of the spatial portal, it could be taken in instantly.
As for the maximum casting distance of his spatial portal? Still four meters. It didn’t seem to increase any further.
His spatial perception had extended to eight meters.
No new ability? Ray pondered. Did new powers only awaken in moments of extreme danger?
When he’d fought the mutated husky before, he’d felt intense pressure of imminent death, and that’s when his spatial perception had awakened. Was he lacking that kind of pressure now?
Or… had he simply not absorbed enough abilities yet?
Or perhaps his limit was only two abilities?
After thinking for a bit, his gaze drifted to Heather, and a smile crept onto his face.
With a beauty like this lying beside him, how could he still be thinking about abilities? Completely inappropriate.
Ray chuckled smugly. “Didn’t expect you to still be a virgin.”
Heather sighed softly. “My parents are very traditional. So am I. That kind of thing was supposed to wait until after marriage—”
