A large, gaping hole sat squarely in the center of his forehead, blood spilling out. His eyes were still wide open, as if asking, I never said I didn’t believe you–so why was I the one who got shot?
Everyone began trembling uncontrollably.
A real gun. It was a real gun!
Thomas dropped to his knees at once. A real man knows when to bend and when to stand tall. As long as he stayed alive, there would always be a chance for revenge.
Ray smiled. A replica gun paired with real bullets from a dimensional space–heh, who wouldn’t be scared?
“Do you want to live?” he asked calmly.
“Yes!” Thomas answered immediately.
“Heh. Too bad, I don’t feel like giving you the chance,” Ray said.
As his finger tightened on the trigger, a bullet shot out from the other space.
Thomas knew things had gone terribly wrong the moment he heard those words. He scrambled away, crawling and rolling in desperation–but how could a human be faster than a bullet?
Besides, Ray had deliberately set up seven flashlights to flood the area with light. Thomas didn’t even have the option of hiding in the darkness to escape death.
After that shot, the remaining men panicked and fled in all directions.
Ray had no intention of letting them go.
If they reached the darkness, they might survive.
But bullets streaked out one after another from the dimensional space, chasing them down.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
One body after another collapsed.
Still, someone managed to disappear into the dark.
It was… Rudy.
But Leo was already in pursuit.
“Ah-!” Rudy’s scream echoed through the garage, mixed with Leo’s pained growl.
“Leo, come back!” Ray shouted.
To him, Leo’s life mattered far more than Rudy’s.
Moments later, Leo came running back. There was a clear wound on his left ear, but he looked immensely pleased with himself.
Because he had injured Rudy far more severely.
“Good boy, Leo,” Ray said with a smile. “Come on. Let’s get that treated.”
As for Rudy… Ray had no need to chase him down.

But letting him off so easily? Not a chance.
Ray sneered. After returning to the villa, he treated Leo’s wound, then sent a message to the neighborhood group chat.
Ray: [Bounty on Rudy. Whoever kills him and posts a photo in the group can come to me to claim the reward: two boxes of instant noodles and one box of bottled water.]
Heh. With a reward that big, there would always be someone willing to step up.
Once the bounty was out, Rudy would become paranoid, unable to trust anyone. It wouldn’t take more than a few days before someone found him and killed him.
As for how many people might die in the process?
Ray couldn’t care less.
What did it have to do with him?
Why should he personally go looking for Rudy? Did anyone really think he couldn’t afford a few boxes of noodles and water?
Ray took a shower and went to bed.
He fell asleep quickly, completely at ease.
After spending eight million to renovate the villa, if it still couldn’t give him a sense of security, then that money would truly have been wasted.
But while he slept soundly, the entire neighborhood was thrown into an uproar by the bounty he had posted.
Two boxes of instant noodles. One box of water.
Not two packs. Not one bottle.
Boxes. Whole boxes.
