My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 624

"Congratulations on finally realizing you're nothing but a lost cause."

After Yolanda Harrison left him, he had hit a wall at every turn. Coupled with a string of failed investments, the once-thriving Sullivan Group was now teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.

"Sera, I'm sorry." Sebastian collapsed to his knees right in front of her. "I'm begging you, help me. Just this one last time."

Before Seraphina could say a word, a chilling voice sliced through the air. "Not a chance."

Lucian stepped up beside Seraphina, pulling her firmly behind him. "My wife is never lifting a finger for you again."

With that, Lucian led Seraphina away, leaving Sebastian kneeling on the floor.

Watching their intertwined hands as they walked away, the crushing reality finally hit Sebastian—he had truly lost her forever.

Ever since York Zeller had spectacularly failed in his war against Lucian, Landon Langford had been keeping a low profile. But today, he strolled into the bidding venue looking like a brand-new man, radiating absolute confidence.

Seeing Landon sitting across from him, Lucian paused slightly, looking genuinely surprised.

"Surprised to see me, Lucian? I'm here representing my new company for this bid. May the best man win."

Lucian gave him an indifferent glance. "Of course."

The bidding commenced. Landon was brimming with confidence, but in the end, he was utterly crushed.

He had lost to Lucian.

He slammed his files onto the table in a blind rage. "Impossible! How could your base bid be completely different from what was in the proposal?"

"Because I've known you were the mastermind behind NightFall this whole time," Lucian replied, his gaze turning somber. "Evie told me how you blackmailed her ages ago. It wasn't hard to follow the breadcrumbs straight to you."

"You pulled in massive investments for this, and now you've lost the bid. You better start figuring out how you're going to liquidate your assets to pay them back. Though, if you're desperate, I'd be happy to acquire your company."

"Shut up! I don't need your pity!"

Landon stumbled up from his chair, nearly tripping over his own feet as he staggered toward the exit.

He didn't look back, awkwardly scrambling out the door.

Watching his defeated retreat, Lucian pulled out his phone and texted Seraphina: "Almost there. Wait for me."

A moment later, she replied with a simple: "Okay."
