Lucian smirked. "York wanted to beat me so badly that he took a shortcut."

"Good work. Keep an eye on things," Lucian paused, then added, "After this is over, take some time off."

Christian was stunned. "Time off?"

Lucian caught the hesitation. "You don't want a vacation?"

"Honestly, I just want to make money."

"Thank you, boss," Christian's tone immediately brightened. "I've always said you're the best boss in the world."
