Nine Hot Therians and Their Only One Queen novel Chapter 193

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 193: Learning New Things**

The moment Corvin’s message pinged on their screens, a surge of excitement coursed through the group. ‘Good news, guys! Edric has broken through. We can bond with Emma now.’

Silas and Lucien, both of whom had been anxiously awaiting this news, felt a wave of relief wash over them. They should have been praising Corvin for his steadfast loyalty, especially since he had shared this monumental news the very instant he learned of it.

Edric had finally broken through.

Silas, who had just emerged from a grueling meeting that had tested his patience and resolve, felt his spirits lift as he read Corvin’s message. A grin crept onto his face, illuminating the fatigue that had shadowed him moments before.

His fingers danced over the screen as he quickly typed back, ‘That’s so sudden. How did it happen?’

He had been bracing himself for a wait of at least another two months, so this unexpected turn of events filled him with hope.

Corvin’s reply was swift, ‘A Rank 10 beast suddenly showed up in the forest we were in. He broke through when he fought it.’

At that moment, both Lucien and Silas exchanged sharp glances, their expressions transforming from relief to incredulity.

Lucien’s brow furrowed in disbelief as he asked, ‘How the hell did that happen? A Rank 10 beast at Planet A3 is practically unheard of!’

Planet A3, a mere stone’s throw from the Central Planet, was known for its relative safety. The Empire had gone to great lengths to eradicate any beasts above Rank 8 from nearby planets, ensuring the safety of the females who populated them.

Corvin’s response was tinged with confusion. ‘I haven’t a clue. It just showed up out of the blue.’

Silas, ever the strategist, quickly typed back, ‘I’ll send my subordinates to take a look at the area. Corvin, tell Marcus to keep Emma safe.’

Corvin nodded, though it was just a digital gesture. ‘Understood.’

Once the heavy matters were addressed, Lucien’s curiosity got the better of him. ‘Corvin, why didn’t you add Marcus to the group?’

Corvin’s reasoning was straightforward and blunt. ‘He’s not interested in winning Emma’s favor. Why bother?’

Marcus was different from the rest of them.

While they were prepared to devote themselves to Emma for eternity, Marcus had made it clear that he was ready to end his own life.

Lucien frowned, sensing the underlying tension. ‘You should add him anyway.’

After all, they were all Emma’s mates, and excluding Marcus would create an unflattering image of their bond.

With a sigh, Corvin complied and added Marcus to the group.

Marcus responded with a simple question mark, clearly perplexed.

What was this new chat group about?

As soon as Marcus joined, Corvin wasted no time and tagged Silas, sending a message that brimmed with anticipation. ‘Silas, we can bond with Emma once Edric wakes up. I’m second in line, so can you teach me a little something? What should I do to make Emma satisfied when we bond?’

Could bonding even be taught?

Lucien couldn’t help but roll his eyes at Corvin’s naive inquiries, remaining silent but intrigued.

He genuinely wanted to see how Silas would respond to Corvin’s earnest, albeit ridiculous, questions.

Yet, despite the time that passed, Silas remained unresponsive in the group chat, leaving Lucien tapping his fingers impatiently against the armrest of his chair. “Did that clever little man just private message Corvin?” he muttered to himself, a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice.

Once free, the rabbit scurried away, activating his lightcore and swiftly locating the books Silas had recommended to Corvin.

Malrik, observing from a distance, noticed that the liger was completely absorbed in his reading.

Seizing the opportunity, he nestled into a corner and clicked on one of the books.

As he perused the contents, his eyes widened in shock.

Goodness! I never would have guessed that the cunning commander would indulge in such material in private!

Yet, it was undeniable that books were gateways to new realms.

He had never fathomed that certain things could be explored in such positions.

Wow. Just… wow.

Meanwhile, Emma, blissfully unaware of the unfolding events with her mates, had fallen asleep beside Edric.

While Edric remained in a deep slumber, Emma stirred awake several times throughout the night, her heart racing as she checked on him.

Only when she was assured that his breathing was steady could she drift back to sleep, her worry momentarily eased.

The next morning, it was Aria’s enthusiastic chatter that pulled her from her dreams.

“Emma, are you awake? Wake up! I’ve brought you tons of goodies!”

Aria and her mate had ventured to the other side of the forest the previous night, leaving them oblivious to the significant events that had transpired.
