Nine Hot Therians and Their Only One Queen novel Chapter 363

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 363: Night of Confusion**

“Could I possibly have another bottle?” Celia inquired, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Emma has a new Rank 11 partner—his name is Marcus.”

Dahlia let out an exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes in disbelief. *How insatiable can she be?*

“No, Celia. Marcus is different. You need to wait until your daughter has formed a bond with Lucien and Drake before you even think about him,” Dahlia replied, her tone resolute.

Time slipped by, and half an hour later, Emma emerged from Drake’s room, her heart racing with excitement. Just as she reached her own door, she was startled to find Malrik standing there, an imposing figure with his arms crossed tightly over his chest, his cheeks puffed out in indignation, glaring menacingly at the closed door behind him.

“Daddy, this is my female’s room! You can’t be in there! What are you doing—trying to seduce her?” he exclaimed, his voice a mix of anger and disbelief.

*Is my father completely out of his mind?*

From inside the room, a cool, menacing voice floated out, sending a shiver down Emma’s spine.

“Malrik, don’t let your foolishness deceive you into thinking I won’t beat you. Stand there for one more second, and you’ll find yourself facing the Beast God tonight.”

*Damn it all.*

Here I am, finally getting a chance to spend a night with Ms. Tibarn, and just as I’m finishing up my preparations, this fool decides to show up.

If it weren’t for my concern about upsetting her, I would have already sent Malrik back to the Enchanter Clan without a second thought.

“Oh, so you want to steal Ms. Tibarn from me and then kill me? Fine! I’ll tell her everything!” Malrik shouted defiantly.

Inside the room, Marcus lounged on the bed, a smirk creeping onto his face as he overheard Malrik’s threat.

“Go ahead. You think I’m scared of your little tantrum?” he taunted, reveling in the chaos.

*I want Malrik to call Emma over. She promised to make it up to me tonight.*

“I will!”

But just as Malrik turned to storm off, he caught sight of Emma approaching, and his eyes lit up with a sense of purpose.

“Ms. Tibarn! You won’t believe this—Daddy is being shameless! He dressed like that just to seduce you! Come to my room instead. Ignore him! He betrayed my mother, and the Beast God will punish him!”

As Malrik attempted to drag Emma away, Marcus sprang from the room, urgency in his movements.

“Ms. Tibarn, don’t listen to him!” he interjected, seizing Emma’s hand. “He’s lying. He just wants to lure you away from me.”

“I am not!” Malrik protested, his voice rising in pitch. “You said Ms. Tibarn could keep me—why can’t she stay in my room?”

If Lucien or Edric were to catch a glimpse of him dressed like this, they’d misunderstand and think I’m attracted to that kind of look.

The mere thought of all my partners looking like Marcus makes my head spin.

*Too many handsome males… I can’t handle it.*

Marcus nodded obediently, retreating into her room, leaving Emma to deal with Malrik.

Malrik’s panic surged as he watched Marcus disappear inside again.

“Ms. Tibarn! He—!”

“Malrik,” Emma interjected gently, taking his hand and guiding him toward the stairs.

As they walked, she spoke softly, “Marcus is my partner, not your father. You’re just confused right now because you’re not feeling well.”

The medicine from the Aurelia doctor still hadn’t worked, and Malrik’s condition showed no signs of improvement.

“Really?” Malrik frowned, struggling to recall the truth, but his mind was a blank slate.

All he knew was that the beautiful female standing before him was his female, and that Marcus was his father.
