Alaric watched Gaellard devour the chicken with zero decorum and rolled his eyes in mild disgust. Then, he turned to Andre.
‘Andre, have you had lunch yet?”
Before Andre could answer, Alaric shifted his tone and addressed Gaellard bluntly. “Gaellard, you’re really inconsiderate. You’ve got ood and don’t even share a bite with Andre?”
‘Think about it–you and Andre have worked together at Beast God Mountain for years. You’re supposed to be brothers. Good hings should be shared.”
‘Why should I share it with him?” Gaellard snapped, still biting into his fried chicken. “I spent two Level 14 beast cores on it.”
He glanced at Andre. “If Andre wants some, he can go and trade his own beast cores for it.”
Alaric couldn’t help but sigh. “Do you really think Andre is as greedy as you? He wouldn’t spend two Level 14 Cores on food.”
Then Alaric looked at Andre directly. “Don’t you agree?”
Andre just gave him a single glance and said nothing. Don’t think for a second that he didn’t realize these two were deliberately teaming up to manipulate him.
Gaellard, seeing Andre’s lack of reaction, took another huge bite of chicken.
The crunch of the crispy coating, paired with the bold, intoxicating aroma, made anyone nearby start salivating uncontrollably.
While chewing, he replied to Alaric, “With food this good, who’d bother drinking those tasteless nutrient solutions?”
He then looked at Andre. “Why aren’t you eating, Andre? Do you think this box of food isn’t worth two Level 14 beast cores, so you’re holding back?”
Before Andre could answer, Alaric interjected by saying, “What’s with you, Gaellard? Andre’s strength is second only to the Beast God himself. You really think he can’t spare two Level 14 beast cores?”
Andre stayed silent, but in his mind, he completely agreed with Alaric. Of course he could spare two Level 14 beast cores.
He simply thought Gaellard was foolish for using two Level 14 beast cores for such a small amount of food.
Any beast with half a brain wouldn’t make such a losing deal. Only someone like Gaellard, who wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, would fall for it.
Gaellard snorted, his voice dripping with ridicule. “Even if he had it, he wouldn’t dare spend it. Yet, he keeps claiming he wants to be Emma’s mate. He won’t even buy the delicious food she makes.
“Even that quiet one, Jim, knew to give her clothes and beast cores after taking Emma away, just to please her. Andre, who thinks he’s better than Jim, can’t even compete. Honestly, he’s not half as clever as me and Jim combined.”
Alaric immediately shot back. “Gaellard, let’s just talk about the matter at hand–don’t drag my little female into it. Emma only sold you the lunch because she knows you’re a Gustglutton who loves food. Those beast cores were all yours to give–don’t try to pin
them on us.”
Gaellard smiled gently at the mention of Emma. “Emma cares about me, I know that.”

Chapter 739 Persuasian
+10 Free Coins.
Yeah, right.
In truth, he knew better than anyone that Emma’s interest was purely in the two Level 14 beast cores. Her obvious behavior had given it away. But of course, he couldn’t say that out loud.
Instead, he smiled even wider. “Being able to make Emma happy with just two Level 14 beast cores genuinely pleases me.”
Andre hadn’t intended to pay much attention to Gaellard and Alaric, but hearing their conversation made him pause.
Pleasing a female? That’s something he really had no experience with. From the time he could remember, he had been sent to Beast God Mountain, and when he left, he became the tribe leader. His days were filled with managing tribal affairs or accepting challenges from other therians.
His understanding of females existed only in inherited memories.
And in those memories, females were always very interested in the males of their tribe–watching them and admiring their strength and appearance.
That was why, earlier, when Emma looked at him, Andre had allowed her such a clear view.
As the chief of the Frostwing Phoenix Tribe, his physique was impeccable. Emma would definitely like it.
