Chapter 766 A New Group Chat
So, Corvin couldn’t exactly use that group chat now.

Corvin wasn’t the first to speak in the group chat after he set it up. Instead, Calum beat him to the punch, asking in annoyance, “Corvin, are you bored or something?”
He felt like he had a right to ask that after Corvin created two new group chats in less than a day. Was that fool not worried that Emma was going to eat him alive once she found out about this?
Corvin shot back, “Shut up, Calum. Anyway, guys, guess who I saw when I went to find Emma earlier?”
Calum inquired, “Who?”
Corvir replied, “Emma’s Favorite Sweetheart. You know, the guy who’s eyeing Silas‘ primary mate spot?”
Calum, Marcus, and Malrik all sent question marks upon reading Corvin’s text.
They couldn’t help but wonder, Wasn’t that just Emma pretending to be someone else?
How did Corvin actually meet a therian that didn’t exist?
So, Marcus demanded, “What’s going on?” Did Emma really find herself another mate?
That didn’t make sense.
Silas and Lucien wouldn’t be so tame in their response if that were true. In fact, they would’ve ensured that everyone else was kept
abreast of this newcomer.
Calum started needling Corvin for answers. “Corvin, are you sure about that? You weren’t hallucinating, were you?
Corvin’s response was swift and somewhat offended. “Excuse me? I know what I saw! That guy was in his beast form and literally sleeping right in Emma’s hand when I visited Emma.”
Then, he tagged Edric and Lucien as he aired his grievances against this newcomer, bombarding the group chat with a wall of text, “Edric, he’s been given special treatment that even you have yet to enjoy.
“Lucien, do you know what his beast form is? A black freaking blob. He’s even uglier than you were back when you’d been Coalball.”
Edric sent three dots back at him to convey his speechlessness.
On the other hand, Lucien wasn’t taking that insult lying down. “Corvin, I haven’t seen this new guy. So, I can’t tell whether he’s really that ugly. However, I can definitely arrange for you to be uglier than I am.”
Corvin hastily backpedalled, saying, “Lucien, that’s not what I meant! I’m not saying that you were ugly when you were Coalball. I’m saying that he’s even uglier than you were back then! Honest! Lucien, you have to believe me!”
Then, he dragged Silas into the conversation, saying, “Silas, this guy wants to steal your spot as primary mate. It’d be one thing if he had the face of an angel, but his beast form is hideous! You can’t let him win.
“People will jeer at Emma when she goes around with a primary mate with a beast form that ugly. Silas, you can always step aside and give the rest of us a chance if you no longer want to be her primary mate. The perks of being the primary mate are so good. I’m

sure everyone wants in.
“Why don’t we compete for it? The winner will replace you. What do you think?”
Then, he announced, “Do any of you want to be Emma’s primary mate? Sign up now! I want to be her primary mate, so don’t mind if I do.”
Marcus merely replied, “I’m tired. I’m going to bed.”
Lucien’s text came next. “I’m busy incubating my eggs. Leave your nonsense at the door.”
Calum answered, “I have a meeting to get to. See you.”
Malrik responded with a simple, “I’m going to give Drake his medicine.”
Drake followed up on that with a short, “I’m taking my meds.”
Kieran didn’t even bother giving Corvin the time of day, saying, “I’m hungry.”
Alaric asked, “Hungry for gossip? I’ve got some.”
Edric finished the train with a curt statement. “I’m going to train.”
Corvin tried to get them on his side, saying, “Oh, come on! Don’t be like that, guys.”
Then, he turned his full attention to Jim, asking, “Anyway, what about you, Alaric? You and Emma aren’t bonded yet, but you can still participate in the competition.”
Jim, who was still in Emma’s room, was currently reading the texts from the newly created group chat with her.
When he saw Corvin had singled him out, he didn’t say anything. Instead, he turned to Emma for guidance.
Emma said, “Tell him you’re not interested.”
Jim immediately tapped on his lightcore to do just that. “I’m not interested.”
Corvin grumbled, “Are the lot of you seriously going to just stand and watch as some new guy snaps up Silas‘ primary mate position? Emma spoils him rotten! She might actually cave and say yes if he insists on being her primary mate.”
Emma clenched her jaw as she read Corvin’s final text. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, trying to keep herself from exploding in anger.
Then, she did a group video call using Alaric’s lightcore.
Corvin picked up almost instantly,
“Jim, you-” he cut himself off the second he saw Emma’s face staring back at him, nearly biting his tongue off in his panic
He was so out of it that the next words coming out of his mouth barely sounded coherent. “E–Emma, you
Emma glared at Corvin as she roared, “Corvin Draemont, get your ‘ss over here right this instant!”
Corvin froze up like a deer in headlights, staring helplessly at the screen as it turned dark a second later.

Shortly after, his lightcore fell from his numb fingers and onto the table with a soft clack. He was f*cked.
He was screwed all the days through Sunday.
Lucien was the first to offer a snide remark. “Safe travels to you, Corvin.”
Calum added, “I’ll leave you some flowers by your tombstone.”
Marcus snarked, “Good job.”
