Chapter 789 Unexpectedly Perfect

Emma didn’t even dare step fully into the room. The atmosphere was far too chilling. It was oppressive and eerie, like the air itself carried a funeral hush. This room was too sinister.

“Marcus, stop talking nonsense. I wasn’t trying to send Jim off to the afterlife!”

Corvin’s face flushed crimson under the teasing. His embarrassment was written all over him.

“I was just trying to create an atmosphere, alright? A vibe. Do you people even understand what atmosphere means?”

He gestured helplessly around the room.

“I noticed Jim’s beast form is black, so I made black the primary color. But then I thought it might feel too dark, so I tried balancing it with something brighter. And white is the brightest color, so I…”

Now he understood why Lucien and Marcus had been so eager to see Corvin’s handiwork.

Corvin’s imagination was truly something else.

Jim interrupted him calmly. Without hesitation, he sat down on the massive black stone bed, the one that looked suspiciously like a morgue slab. He reached out and brushed his fingers across the ghostly white sheets.

Corvin, Emma and everyone else were too stunned to speak.

Jim spoke thoughtfully, “It’s pretty cool.”

Everyone was in disbelief.
