Nine Hot Therians and Their Only One Queen novel Chapter 892

Chapter 892 Dragging Malrik Away

Malrik paused for a moment.

“She wants fruit? Then just buy some! Why did you call me here for that?” he asked.

He thought, It’s only a piece of fruit.

Silas sighed helplessly. “If it were that easy to buy, would I have asked you to come?”

“The fruit is called Starfall Glass Fruit. It grows along the cliffs deep within the western forest of Central Planet. Ordinary therians cannot reach it,” he explained.

He delivered the lie with complete composure.

Not a trace of guilt appeared on his face.

He even pulled out a holographic map from the drawer and pointed toward a remote coordinate buried in the middle of nowhere.

“This is the location. After thinking it through, you are the only one in the family suited for the trip,” he declared.

“Of course, if you think it is too troublesome and would rather not go…” he continued.

“Who said I was not going?” Malrik snatched the map straight from his hand.

After putting the map away, he narrowed his eyes dangerously at Silas.

He thought, This entire mission…

The more I listen, the more suspicious it sounds.

Is Emma truly craving fruit, or is Silas deliberately trying to mess with me?

After a brief silence, he inquired, “Silas, I have not offended you lately, have !?”

Silas adjusted his glasses and smiled with flawless sincerity.

“Of course not. We are practically buddies,” he replied.

Malrik shook his head. “I seriously doubt that.”

Neither of them was foolish enough to believe empty words.

Anyone naive enough to trust Silas completely deserved to be fooled.

Silas was speechless for a moment.

He looked at Mairik with a look of deep hurt. “Malrik, I have always treated you like my closest buddy. Hearing you say that is honestly painful.”

A cold laugh escaped Mairik’s lips. “You do not look hurt to me. If anything, it feels like you are using Emma’s n dump hard labor on me.

His expression remained calm and composed. He even looked slightly wronged. “Malrik, you can question my character, but you cannot question how much I care about Emma.

“If I truly wanted revenge, why would I send you to pick fruit instead of hunting a few level twelve beasts?” he questioned.

“The only reason is that Emma wants to eat it,” he declared.

“If you think I am lying, then forget it. I will just ask Lucien to go instead, he continued.

“Who said I was not going?” Malrik cut him off immediately before he could contact Lucien.

He thought, Although I strongly suspect Silas is setting him up…

But what if?

What if Emma genuinely wants the fruit?

“I will trust you with this once.” After saying that, Malrik grabbed the map and strode out of the office.

Since, Emma wanted it, he intended to bring it back for her as quickly as possible.

A faint smile curved across Silas’ lips as he watched him leave.

He truly did treat Mairik like a buddy.

After all, they were family.

Still, a little sacrifice between buddies was perfectly acceptable when it came to Emma.

Silas picked up his lightcore and sent a message in the “Malrik’s Birthday Planning Group”.

“Silas: Done. He’s headed to the western cliffs to pick fruit. He probably will not be back before tomorrow evening ”

“Lucien: As expected of you.”

“Alaric: You actually pulled it off.”

“Calum: I honestly feel bad for Malrik, but why is this so funny?”

“Corvin: No way. Silas, you really tricked Malrik into leaving? That is seriously impressive!”

“Marcus: Corvin, we are heading out to buy supplies. Get downstairs already.”

“Corvin: Already in the elevator.”

“Silas: Emma, is there anything else you need me to do? Should I head home now?”

“Emma: No need. Everything at home is already arranged, so focus on work. Just make sure you are back before tomorrow night

“Silas: Understood.”

Inside the castle, everyone immediately got to work after confuming that Matrik would not be returning amat day.

Lucien “Alaric, clean the chandelier in the living room. That is Malrik’s favorite view.”

Alaric was speechless after hearing it.

He thought, Is there seriously something wrong with Malrik’s brain?

Who even has a favorite chandelier angle?

Even so, he obediently went to clean it.

Lucien insisted, “Calum, hang those streamers over there. I want them shaped like waves. After that, come help me blow up balloons.”

He turned back toward Alaric. “Come help with the balloons after you finish cleaning the chandelier.”

“Alright.” Calum nodded.

He quickly hung the decorations exactly where Lucien instructed before walking over to help inflate the balloons.

A slight frown appeared on his face as he stared at the pink balloon in Lucien’s hands.

“Do people actually prepare things like this for birthdays?” Calum inquired.

Lucien nodded. “I have never celebrated a birthday either. Emma told us to prepare them.”

He thought, Despite being the second prince of Aurelia, I have never celebrated my birthday growing up.

I have no idea what people usually prepare for a male’s birthday.

Everything here is arranged according to Emma’s instructions.

As long as the instructions come from her, all I need to do is follow them properly.

“Where did Emma even find these things?” Calum sat beside him and picked up one of the balloons. His brows drew together tightly as he watched Lucien inflate them.

The Central Planet had balloons, too, but they were all oversized decorative ones.

He had never seen balloons this small before.

Honestly, he felt like one careless breath might make it explode.

Lucien replied, “Funny enough, I asked her the exact same thing when she handed them to me.”
