Chapter 928 Very Obvious
The worst part was that Gaellard had no defense. Their initial motives had been far from pure, and they both knew it.

After a few seconds of silence, Gaellard rubbed his temples and finally spoke with an air of resignation. “Fine. How do you want to settle this?”
Andre also looked up at Silas, his voice steady. “Just say it.”
Silas remained composed, his tone light as if they were merely making small talk. “It’s nothing much, really. I just think some things need to be made clear from the start.”
He met their eyes, and though he was smiling, the warmth didn’t reach his gaze. “A single declaration of love or one helping hand today doesn’t just wipe away everything from before.”
He leaned forward slightly. “Whether you can stay by Emma’s side is up to her. But you are never to use schemes, tests, coercion, or any other underhanded tactics to get close to her again. Are we clear?”
The first time it happened, Emma hadn’t pressed charges.
They had tolerated it for the sake of the Beast God. But Silas would never allow a second time.
Gaellard’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he nodded solemnly. “I admit, when I first approached Emma, I had an agenda. I wanted to have a cub with her to provide an heir for the Beast God. But I swear to the Beast God himself, I don’t think like that anymore. I truly want to be with her now.”
Andre shot Gaellard a glance before speaking to Silas. “I never had such thoughts. My intentions toward Emma have always been sincere.”
He had heard the Beast God speak of human females long ago. In fact, he had seen Emma even earlier than Kieran had.
Back then, he hadn’t decided if he wanted a mate, and since he was at a critical stage of his rank-up, he had only observed her for a few days before leaving.
By the time he had successfully leveled up and decided he wanted her, Jim had already snatched her away. When he saw Jim taking her, his only thought was to take her for himself-he hadn’t realized that his actions would make Emma see him as an
enemy.
Gaellard looked at Andre in shock. Seriously? This bird just stabbed me in the back twice in one go!
Alaric, sitting nearby, frowned slightly, his voice cool. “So, you’re saying your actions were justified?”
Andre met his gaze calmly. “No. I’m just clarifying my stance.” His tone was level-no excuses, no play for sympathy. “I never intended to ‘use’ Emma.”
Marcus gave Andre a deadpan look. “So what? You’re still the one who fought us to snatch her from Jim, aren’t you?”
Andre was silent.
Drake, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the armrest, added indifferently, “Different motives don’t change the outcome.”
Silence fell over Gaellard and Andre. Silas watched them, his expression mild but unyielding.

don’t care which of you was ‘Tess bad’ at the start,” Silas said, his voice soft yet carrying a heavy weight of authority. “And I don’t care how beautifully you phrase you feelings now.”
Up on the roof.
Emma sat on the terrace, sipping floral tea that Edric had brewed for heh. “Edric, do you think they’ll actually start brawling downstairs?”
She didn’t mind the fight; she just didn’t want them to tear her castle down.
Edric sat on the terrace couch and chuckled. “Are you afraid they’ll fight, or worried that they won’t?”
Emma looked at him, surprised. “Edric, you’ve picked up some bad habits! You’re actually teasing me now!”
“Emma, I would never tease you.” Edric leaned in, his warm breath brushing against her ear, sending a tiny shiver down her spine. “I just know that a fight isn’t really what you’re worried about.”
With Silas down there, a physical brawl was impossible.
