Frank pressed his thin lips into a line. "Take her to the hospital. There's a chance the baby might arrive early."
At that moment, Barnaby arrived with a wheelchair and wheeled Xenia away. She kept glancing back at Wyatt. "Wyatt, come with me. I'm scared."
Wyatt followed her out. Upon seeing this, Noelle said, "You should all go to the hospital. I'm leaving now."
There was no point in staying any longer, but Carl grabbed her wrist and almost pleadingly said, "That doesn't mean we can't have dinner tonight, Noelle."
Blake chimed in, "Yeah, don't let her words upset you. None of us believed her, and we know you didn't do it."
Lucas nodded along. "Xenia used to stir up trouble like this all the time to drive a wedge between us, and we're not falling for it anymore."
Carl refused to let go as he added, "Exactly, we're not believing a single word she said."
Noelle calmly looked up at him and said, "But I'm so tired of all this."
Every time something like this happened, it brought back memories of her past life, and her mood would spiral. Carl instantly let go as if he'd been burned.
"I'm sorry, and I promise this won't happen again. She won't come back."
He'd make sure anyone and anything Noelle detested never appeared in front of her again.
Noelle coldly replied, "That has nothing to do with me." With that, she turned and started walking down the stairs, not wanting to stay any longer.
Donovan quickly followed. "Noelle, wait."
She looked back at him coldly. "Are you here to hold me accountable?"
His words caught in his throat. "Can you not act like a ticking time bomb? A little thing goes wrong, and you explode. Everyone was so happy waiting for your return, and now you're just walking out?"
