No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1062

After Noelle left, she immediately called Cedric and told him that Emma had discovered it was Ruth who'd poisoned her.

When Cedric received the call, he fell silent before asking, "Where are you?"

"I just left the hospital and called to let you know."

After all, this was something Cedric needed to take care of.

Cedric twirled the chair while holding the phone. "I understand. Let me make the arrangements. How is Mom holding up emotionally?"

"Mrs. Greene is so much stronger than we expected. We have to thank Mrs. Merlock for committing so many wrongs in the past. Now that Mrs. Greene saw through her, she was mentally prepared."

If Emma had learned everything at once, she definitely wouldn't have been able to handle it.

Cedric let out a low laugh. "Thank you for staying with her."

Noelle smiled faintly at the sound of his voice. "It was nothing."

Compared to everything he'd done for her, what she did didn't count much.

Cedric said, "The trial is in three days. Mrs. Merlock will pay for what she did."

"Yes."

After hanging up, Noelle rolled down the car window. She could finally begin her new life once the case was over. Just then, she received a call from Frank.

She'd only saved Carl's number, but Frank had called far too many times that she could recognize it at a glance. After thinking about it, she picked up the phone. "What's up?"

"Xenia went into premature labor. She's in the operating room now."

Frank said, "Alright. I'll just silence her with some money."

"That's more like it. It can be easily solved with money."

"Are you coming to the hospital?" Frank asked.

"Why should I? The baby's not mine, and it's probably Justin's. Tell the Parhams to claim it."

Noelle chuckled at the thought of Justin's reaction if he found out, and her mood improved significantly. She wondered how mad Brittany would get if she learned Justin had an illegitimate child.

The thought made her look forward to it a little.

After parking the car, Noelle walked into the school, only to see a familiar face strikingly similar to Xenia's appearing right in front of her.
