Maybe over the years, Xenia's mom managed to wash her hands clean of the matter and live well now. But no matter how well she was doing, she couldn't compare to the power and status of the Greene family.
Donovan looked a little defeated. "You didn't give me the chance to try, so how do you know we can't get anything out of him?"
Noelle was about to reply when Cedric gently took her hand and muttered, "Since they're so confident, let them try."
She finally calmed down after feeling the warmth from his palm. Looking up at the others, she then said, "Fine. I'll give you a week. If you get nothing, you hand him over to me."
Just then, Carl's eyes fell on their interlocked hands, and his expression changed instantly. "Let go of her, Cedric! Who said you could touch her?"
Now, everyone noticed it, too, but Noelle openly responded, "He's not touching me inappropriately."
Cedric pressed his lips together. "But didn't you two break up?"
"Who said breaking up means we can't get back together?" Noelle bluntly replied.
Frank looked surprised. "So, did you two get back together?"
Even if Noelle didn't give a direct answer, it was obvious from the way they held hands. Frank sighed inwardly; Noelle was taken again.
The latter shook their hands lightly and asked, "Isn't it obvious?"
Frank gave a helpless laugh. "We've noticed, but have you thought this through? You're so young. There's no rush to settle down."
Blake was equally displeased. "Exactly. There are plenty of great men in the world. You could meet someone better."
Noelle hadn't expected them to say something like this, and sure enough, Cedric's expression darkened after hearing their words. Did these people think they had the right to make decisions for Noelle?
