Hearing Cedric's husky voice, Noelle bent down to slip out of his embrace. She looked at him warily and said, "But your hand isn't healed yet, so I need to keep an eye on you."

Cedric waved her over. "I'm going to take a shower now. Come help me."

Then, he turned and headed toward the bathroom. Noelle hesitated for a moment but still followed him in. However, she immediately regretted it.

Every time Noelle tried to push Cedric away, he would say in a low voice, "My hand is injured."

She would see his bandaged hand and eventually soften. She couldn't bring herself to push him away.

Cedric leaned down and kissed the small of her back, his voice husky. "Good girl."

The next morning, Noelle woke up and glanced at the man sleeping soundly beside her. She thought about what happened in the bathroom last night and wanted nothing more than to crawl into a hole and disappear. She thought she really shouldn't have given in and just said no.

Right then, Cedric rolled closer. "You're awake?"

She turned her head away and let out a small huff, refusing to look at him. However, he seemed to be in a great mood.

"We tried something new last night. How did it feel?"

Noelle quickly covered his mouth. "Don't say a word."

Her cheeks burned, and she couldn't even look at him.

Cedric let out a soft chuckle and kissed the corner of her tightly shut eye. "But Nelly, I was really happy last night, and I'm falling for you more and more."

Noelle leaned into his chest and poked at his muscle. "Do you like me, or just the stuff we do?"

"I like everything about you," Cedric replied, gently turning her face to look straight at him. "Nelly, I like you. That's why I enjoy everything we do together, even the more intimate stuff."

Noelle covered his mouth again. "Can you shut up?"
