Noelle hadn't expected Ivy to want to treat her to a meal.
Mia said, "If you don't want to go, you really don't have to."
Noelle let out a sigh. "You already know that her face makes me feel uncomfortable. And honestly, if it had been anyone else in danger, Cedric and I still would've helped. There's no need for a meal—just tell her I appreciate the gesture."
Mia nodded. "Got it. I'll let her know. Don't worry about it."
Noelle didn't give it another thought and focused back on her notes. She had to make every minute count.
Time passed quickly, and before long, her phone buzzed with a new message from Cedric.
"There's a meeting that might run late. Want to grab some lamb stew together?"
Noelle looked at the message and replied, "Let's just eat at home tonight."
Cedric asked, "Are you done studying? I'll have Hugo come pick you up."
Noelle answered, "Yeah, I'm pretty much done. You can send him over."
Noelle's school and Cedric's company were in opposite directions, with the villa in yet another location. It formed a triangle of sorts.
Noelle packed up her materials and stood up. "Alright, I'm heading out."
Grace smiled playfully. "Off to another date? Must be nice. Meanwhile, I'm still single and drowning in secondhand PDA."
Noelle felt a bit guilty as she left with her materials. When she reached the school entrance, a car pulled up in front of her.
The window rolled down, and Ivy's face appeared.
Noelle was genuinely surprised to see Ivy.
Ivy smiled and said, "Hello, Ms. Liddell. I really wanted to thank you for saving Eason and me, but Mia said you didn't want to meet up for a meal."
Noelle felt somewhat awkward. She replied, "I've been pretty busy lately. Finals are coming up, and I have a lot to prep."
"Oh, I see," Ivy said lightly. "Then maybe once finals are over, we can schedule something?"
