No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1388

In the van, Noelle kept ramming her shoulder against the door, but no one paid her any attention.

The van was parked in a forgotten corner, looking like an abandoned vehicle that had been left there for ages. Nobody came close.

All Noelle could do was hope Cedric's people would spot her soon. The longer she stayed hidden, the more money they'd lose.

She knew that since the abductors had come to this point, they wouldn't leave empty-handed. But though she didn't know what else they might try, she couldn't just wait around for rescue and had to find a way to save herself.

At this moment, Magnus was leading his team searching through the streets.

He'd come to this area countless times for inspections and knew the place well. After all, Greene Corporation had invested heavily in developing this scenic spot.

He scanned the map and asked, "Say… where would you hide someone so no one notices? That includes hiding themselves, too."

He sought out a few local street punks he'd once butted heads with over Greene Corporation's demotion disputes. Back then, Magnus had his way of settling things and made up with the street punks.

He believed that if he wanted to track someone down fast, these street punks were his best bet since they knew the streets better than anyone else.

One of the street punks with bright red hair tapped the map and said, "Mr. Greene, if you're saying they wanna stay out of sight but close enough to the scenic spot, this place seems the most possible."

"Where?"

"The abandoned factory zone. It's located right next to the scenic spot, where the fences around the trails aren't yet finished. From here, you can sneak through to skip the tickets and hike for free."
