As everyone talked about Noelle, Xenia listened to their words and felt bitter inside. If it hadn't been for everything that happened, she could've requested Donovan to let her take the stage. And now, Noelle had stolen all the spotlight.
Wyatt was equally displeased with Noelle. "Donovan, Noelle knows the Liddell Corporation is involved with an AI project, yet she still sides with outsiders. Why didn't you stop her?"
Donovan's expression was equally grim. "Do you think she'd listen with her stubbornness? If she wants to dig her own grave, that's her problem."
Now that he'd dragged the Cantrell family into this, they'd handle Noelle for him. Sure enough, reporters started asking extremely tricky questions as soon as Noelle completed her speech.
Noelle glanced at the reporter and replied, "Your question is beyond the scope of today's speech."
The reporter pressed aggressively. "But it's just a simple technical question. Can't you answer?"
Many in the audience were watching and eager for drama while Salena stepped out of the VIP lounge to witness the spectacle. She approached Donovan, and her tone was laced with mockery.
"Your sister used to receive such high compliments; now she's about to fall just as hard."
"She's only gotten bolder because someone is backing her." Donovan was equally looking forward to teaching Noelle a lesson today.
Salena glanced at him and sneered. "I thought once you found out the truth, you'd hesitate to act against her."
If Donovan wanted to use Noelle to connect with Cedric, Salena's investments in the Liddell family would be wasted. But Donovan shook his head.
"Business is business. She needs to be put in her place."
He assumed Noelle only had Alfred supporting her. Since Salena didn't even care about Alfred, why should he?
Soon, their smiles disappeared. Not only did Noelle answer the question, but even the reporter couldn't understand if her response was correct.
