Salena, who stood at the side, immediately saw through the trick. She then spoke up calmly. "Noelle, since you've agreed to have your clutch bag checked, why not allow me to do it? I'll give everyone a fair judgment."
Noelle stared at her and replied, "I'll take this as Mrs. Cantrell agreeing to my condition that if I'm innocent, Samantha will have to publicly apologize to me for the false accusations."
Salena's hand froze up for a moment in response to Noelle's aggressiveness.
Donovan suddenly spoke up from the side. "Noelle, you're just being disrespectful. Mrs. Cantrell offered to check your bag to clear your name. She's offering you the chance to keep your dignity intact."
Xenia then added fuel to the fire. "That's right, Noelle. If you keep on stalling for time by talking about your conditions, it'll only make you look even more suspicious."
She was determined to see Noelle utterly humiliated that day. And with it, Donovan would also stop treating Noelle well.
It would be satisfying to watch.
Wyatt bluntly declared, "Noelle, you've been stealing things at home since you were young, and now you've brought your habits to such a banquet? You've really embarrassed our family!"
His words sent a shockwave through the crowd, leaving everyone stunned.
Noelle turned to Wyatt in shock. She never expected him to stab her in the back at a time like that.
Donovan turned around and scolded Wyatt. "Are you crazy, Wyatt? Noelle never stole anything when she was young!"
Even if Wyatt did not like Noelle, she should not be falsely accused of it.
But Wyatt did not care. He stepped forward and snatched Noelle's bag from her hands. "Still trying to play innocent, huh? Let me see if there's anything inside that's stolen."
He opened the clutch bag and immediately pulled out an emerald bracelet.
He was visibly excited when he saw the bracelet in his hands. He held it high up in the air and said, "Still denying that you've stolen it, Noelle? This is proof! What do you have to say now?!"
