No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 627

After Noelle had spoken up, everyone present began to look at her with disdainful gazes.

Samantha herself became even more arrogant. "Noelle, have you started losing your mind already? Are you trying to twist the truth now that we've caught you red-handed?"

Fortunately for her, the banquet had not yet begun, and the Greene family had not yet arrived. There was no one around that would come to Noelle's rescue.

Xenia would not miss the golden opportunity to drag Noelle's reputation down to the dirt.

"That's right, Noelle. Samantha isn't an unreasonable person. So long as you admit your mistake and return the bracelet to her, the Merlock family may still let it go, and you won't have to go to jail."

Samantha sneered and continued, "Noelle, as long as you admit that you stole it and apologize to me, I will consider not pursuing this matter any further.

"This is the Cantrell family's banquet, after all. Calling the police and escalating the situation further isn't very appropriate."

Salena looked at Noelle and frowned. "Noelle, just admit your wrongdoing now if you don't want to have any more trouble. For the sake of Mia and Donovan, I can make sure that you don't have to go to jail."

The other young ladies around Samantha began to chant, " Apologize to her!"

Noelle chuckled softly and looked at Salena. "I didn't steal anything from Samantha."

Samantha had already prepared a rebuttal in anticipation of such a defense. "You didn't steal, you say? So you just happened to pick up something that belongs to me and then decided to keep it for yourself, right? That's still known as stealing!"

Noelle lifted her gaze slightly. "Samantha, just now, you and your little group of friends surrounded me and slipped that bracelet of yours into my clutch bag to frame me for this, didn't you? Are all the Merlock family members this vile?"

Samantha's expression turned slightly unnatural. "What are you talking about? You're the one who picked up my bracelet and refused to return it to me!"

Salena was displeased. "Noelle, if you claim to be innocent, do you have any proof of your own?"

Noelle's gaze turned icy as she glanced at both Samantha and Xenia. "Of course I do. I don't speak nonsense without the substance to back it up."

The price is only 1/4 of what others charge
