Noelle's lips curled into a mocking smile as she studied Xenia. "What's wrong? Not willing to cooperate?"
Xenia's nails dug into her palms as she bit back her fury. This bitch was setting another trap—just like with the sketch.
She was already forced to reveal Sean's true appearance, and now Noelle wanted her to turn her own father against the Merlocks. It was impossible.
After all, the Liddells were outmatched. Did they really think they could take on the Merlocks?
Putting on her most pitiful expression, Xenia whimpered, "Noelle, you're misunderstanding me. Of course, I'll help—I'm part of the Liddell family now. I'd never refuse to do my part."
Frank cut in before Noelle could respond. "Good. If Sean resists talking, you'll make him. Help us get justice, and you'll always have a place here with Wyatt."
He knew exactly how to manipulate her, reminding her of the luxury she would lose if the Liddells fell.
Xenia nodded eagerly. "I'll do everything I can, Frank."
But deep down, there were plenty of things Xenia kept to herself. Whether or not she could talk Sean into anything was not up to her. The Merlocks were not the kind of people who would let this go quietly, and helping the Liddells get revenge was going to be anything but easy.
Still, Xenia could not help but wonder—if she reached out to the Merlocks herself, maybe they would offer her a huge sum of money in exchange for her help.
Donovan's voice snapped her back to reality. "Make sure Sean returns every cent he stole. If Liddell Corporation collapses, your comfortable life disappears with it. Remember that."
Xenia hurriedly nodded and said, "Donovan, I've learned my lesson. I'll get Dad to return the money—I'd never make that mistake again."
