No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 841

Noelle's heart was pounding, and her mind felt dazed. When Cedric saw the guarded and wary look in her eyes, he couldn't help but be amused. He walked over to the couch and placed Noelle down on it.

"Of course, we're continuing."

Continuing? Noelle only realized what he meant when her back touched the couch. She braced herself against his chest. "C-Cedric—"

"I'm right here." Though he answered her calmly, his hands didn't stop.

Noelle's face turned bright red. She quickly grabbed his hand and whispered, "Not here."

"Shall we change locations?" Cedric pretended not to understand and picked her up again. Where would you like to go?

Noelle looked at his handsome face. "I… I haven't decided yet."

Cedric grinned. "In that case, don't be so bold next time."

Noelle froze. He swallowed. "My self-control isn't as strong as you think."

In fact, he had none when it came to Noelle. Cedric lowered his head and gave her another kiss before quickly pulling back. "Next time, I won't stop."

Noelle caught on. She watched as Cedric tidied his clothes. His once neat white shirt was now wrinkled, and his belt looked a little loose.

Noelle quickly averted her eyes. She adjusted her own clothes as well, blushing at how things had escalated.

Once both of them were presentable again, they returned to the table. Cedric picked up his spoon and served her some food. "We can come again if you like."

Noelle muttered, "Is this L Bistro's new menu?"

Cedric shook his head. "No, this one is just for you."

Noelle was stunned. "Isn't that a bit over the top?"

"I'm their major shareholder. What's wrong with making something for my future wife?" He spoke with complete confidence.

"That's a good thing." Noelle didn't care about the Liddell family.

Cedric hesitated. "But the company was founded by your parents. Without their efforts, your brother wouldn't be where he is today. Do you not care?"

Noelle shook her head. "I do. But I don't want to help."

Cedric took her hand. "You could find a way to take over the company. Then you'd be in charge."

Noelle thought about it. "That would be complicated. And right now, I don't have the energy for that. I just want revenge."

The thought of how Xenia and the Merlock family had succeeded in her past life made her feel unsettled. She had come this far and had to make the culprits pay.

Cedric patted her head. "You're right. Making them pay is more important."

Noelle nodded. "Yes. We haven't found Xenia yet, and the Merlock family hasn't suffered any consequences. I can't let my guard down. We can't be greedy and have everything at once."
