Noelle's eyes widened. "Really?"

Mia had never mentioned anything of this sort!

Wrapping her arms around Cedric's neck, Noelle urged, "Keep going. What exactly happened between them?"

"It's a little R-rated. Are you sure you want all the details?"

Glancing at him, Noelle replied, "You probably don't know the details, do you? Wait, how old is Mia again? She slept with your high school classmate?"

"Mia is a year older than you. It happened around last New Year. He came back for a short while."

"What for? It wasn't because he heard Mia was dating Donovan, was it?"

Cedric paused before replying, "He came back for his grandma's funeral."

Noelle felt silent for a moment. "So, that was when they met again?"

"Yeah, but I don't know the specifics. Not long after the funeral, he left again. Later, I heard Mia went abroad to find him, but nothing came out of it."

He had attended the funeral and driven her home afterward. She hadn't been in a good mood the whole way back.

He added, "Honestly, I didn't expect him to come back as her bodyguard."

Noelle's mind started spinning and pieced together a drama-worthy love story between an icy, stoic soldier and a soft, sweet lady.

She remembered Mia had once said her parents died young, and because of her mobility issues, she was always being looked after at family gatherings. Maybe she'd met the tough man because of Cedric.

As Noelle's imagination ran wild, she suddenly noticed that the hands on her waist were getting rather mischievous.

She tried to sit up straight, but he firmly held her down on his strong thighs. She could feel the powerful, warm muscles beneath her.

As she looked up and met his eyes, she was about to say something when Cedric leaned down and kissed her without hesitation.

Her hands cradled against his shoulders, and her face flushed bright red.

It was just a kiss, but why did it feel so different this time? His hands were definitely crossing the line.

Noelle instinctively tried to stop him, but Cedric bit her ear and murmured, "Don't move. I'll tell you more about how Mia won him over afterward."
