Eugene said, "I'll sleep on the couch."
Mia lowered her head and said nothing. It seemed like that was the only solution.
Noelle then glanced at Cedric, wondering about his variety of houses.
Before she could say anything, Cedric took her hand and said, "Alright. That works just nicely. It's best not to let Mia be alone."
She thought about it for a while and realized that he had a point. She then wondered if she should have suggested for Mia to stay together with Eugene instead.
But judging by the look on Mia's face, she would definitely not be willing to do so.
In the end, Noelle just kept quiet about it, and the four of them went back to her apartment together.
She never thought that such a day would come, where her apartment would house so many people.
She looked at Eugene and said, "It's just the four of us here. Feel free to make yourself at home."
Eugene glanced around the apartment as he replied, "May I look around the place?"
Noelle did not mind much as she knew that it was just a habit of his profession. "Of course."
She then pulled Cedric aside and whispered, "Eugene probably doesn't have any change of clothes. You should have someone send some over."
Cedric replied with a hint of jealousy, "You sure seem concerned about him."
Noelle pinched his waist and replied, "And why did you insist on everyone squeezing in here when you have so many houses?"
Cedric winced in pain and took a deep breath before grabbing onto her hand. "Do you want Mia to stay alone with Eugene? Are you trying to send her into the lion's den?"
She immediately understood what he was trying to say and immediately dropped the topic.
Cedric just stared back at her. If they had gone to a bigger house, he could no longer share a room with her.
Noelle then went into Mia's room to ask her about her opinion.
Cedric turned around and saw Eugene standing near the balcony. He walked over to him and said, "Sorry, bro. You'll have to settle for the couch."
"I'm fine with anything, as long as you all don't mind."
Cedric looked at him and replied, "Of course we don't mind. If you're not taking the couch, then who will?"
Eugene immediately caught on to the meaning behind his words. "You still haven't won her over yet?"
