Noelle did not expect Cedric to be sick. The flu that came with the change in weather had caused an outbreak of sorts. She figured that she must have caught it from him as well.

She stared at him for a long time, but he never moved an inch.

Noelle reached into his pants pocket and felt that his body was burning hot. She pulled out Cedric's phone, unlocked it, and opened up the list of contacts.

She knew the password for his phone, and she also knew about his secretaries that would always be by his side.

One of them was Kevin, who was in charge of assisting him in his personal life. And the other, Robin, who was in charge of assisting him in work.

Kevin had brought the doctor to visit her just before, so she decided to call his number instead.

The call was answered instantly. "Mr. Greene, how can I help?"

"I need you to come up and take him away."

Kevin hesitated for a moment after hearing Noelle's voice. "Is something wrong with Mr. Greene?"

"He's sick."

With that, Noelle hung up the call without saying anything else.

After some time, a knock came from the door. Noelle went to open it and saw Kevin and the doctor from before.

She stepped aside and said, "He's over there."

Kevin then quickly led the doctor to Cedric.

The doctor took a single look at Cedric and immediately could tell that something was wrong. He touched Cedric's forehead and said, "Mr. Greene has a fever."

Noelle explained, "Take him away."

With that, she returned to the master bedroom. She did not want to see Cedric.

Noelle tossed and turned in bed for a long time. She then stared at the empty IV bottle hanging by the bed.

She recalled how Cedric had stayed by her side the entire time and only left after her infusion had finished. But then she thought about how he had lied to her and immediately felt worse.

Thankfully, Cedric had not brought up anything about the Greene or Merlock family earlier, or she would have been even angrier otherwise. She would not be making compromises when it came to her parent's death.
