After Noelle finished speaking, Jeremy suddenly sped up. She looked at him in surprise. "What's going on?"
"Someone's following us, probably not with any good intentions. Let's shake him off first."
Noelle proceeded to be tossed around the car, leaving her dizzy. "What car was it that followed us?"
She wondered if it was just Cedric himself. If that was the case, there was no need to shake him off at all.
Jeremy replied lazily, "It was some crappy car."
Noelle could only hold on tightly as Jeremy sped up to shake off his pursuer.
After some time, Jeremy finally eased up on the speed.
"I finally shook him off. I guess he must've always had a driver since his own driving skills aren't that great."
Noelle looked at him and asked, "You know who it is?"
Jeremy realized that he had made a slip-up and decided to change the subject. "You guessed it right just now. The evidence is hidden in the locker at the spa center."
"I guess he must be a regular there."
Hiding something in a place like a spa center really would not attract much attention after all. The car soon pulled up in front of the spa center.
After getting out of the car, Noelle leaned on the car to help steady herself as she still felt dizzy.
"Here, have some water. Ms. Liddell, why didn't you tell me that you can get carsick?" Jeremy asked.
Noelle took a small sip of the water and felt much better afterward. "I didn't know either. I usually don't get carsick."
At least not when Cedric was driving. Jeremy's driving style was rambunctious, just like his personality. In contrast, Cedric's driving had always been steady and reliable.
Noelle figured that the person who had followed them earlier must have been Cedric. Otherwise, Jeremy would not have reacted so intensely. But she wondered if Cedric was really that easy to be shaken off from.
