When Cedric saw Jeremy, a cold flash crossed his eyes. He asked flatly, "How do you plan to negotiate with Mr. Hitchcock?"

"That's my business, and it doesn't concern you, does it?" Jeremy's tone wasn't particularly friendly.

Cedric continued, "Let's work together."

When Jeremy heard this, he was completely stunned. Then, he smirked and said, "Sorry, but I don't want to work with you."

The elevator door opened, and Jeremy stepped in immediately. Cedric followed him inside and said calmly, "You can't handle Mr. Hitchcock alone."

"Mr. Greene, only those who can't handle things themselves think about teaming up with others," Jeremy replied arrogantly.

Cedric stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Jeremy. "But this matter is very important to Noelle, and I don't want any mistakes. Do you understand? This is just another case for you, but for Noelle, it's a major hurdle in her life. She needs to overcome it to move on with her life."

Jeremy frowned, "Is it that serious?"

"You probably know about what happened to her with the Liddells, but the actual harm and psychological trauma she suffered are much worse than you can imagine," Cedric explained, not wanting any problems at this crucial moment.

Jeremy's expression became more subdued. "Then why did you keep lying to her back then? Why didn't you tell her you were in the car?"

"That was indeed my mistake, but besides not telling her, I also used all my resources to investigate this matter. That's why things have gone so smoothly," Cedric replied, then looked at Jeremy again. "I know you've had issues with me in the past."

"Good that you know," Jeremy retorted.

"If an apology would make you feel better, I'll do it," Cedric offered, standing his ground with a steady gaze and sincere tone.

"I never thought someone as high and mighty as you would ever apologize," Jeremy said, straightening his back. He was surprised that Cedric would go to such lengths for Noelle.

Just then, a young man dressed in designer clothes but looking somewhat sleazy approached them. He said, "Mr. Greene, please don't rush off! My dad really did have an emergency, so he sent me to receive you."

Jeremy looked at Steven and said, "Mr. Hitchcock, what could be more important than his appointment with Mr. Greene?"

Steven explained, "Have you heard of NatureCure Pharmaceuticals? The owner of that company has developed many drugs, including one that supposedly makes people younger. That person suddenly came to Yasnia, and my dad immediately rushed over to meet him. I'm really sorry about this."

When Cedric heard the name of this pharmaceutical company, it sounded strangely familiar to him.

Jeremy let out a cold laugh. "In this day and age, it's hard to believe people still fall for such things. Is your father that afraid of dying?"

Steven replied, "He's not afraid of dying. He's planning to marry again, so I guess he wants to look younger."
