No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 114

Chapter 114 Insult or Praise

“What else would it be? You thought it was a woman?”

Camelia shot Alfred a look.

Then she froze for a second, pointed at Alfred, and burst out laughing.

“Hahaha, no way! Don’t tell me you thought the ‘puppy’ I mentioned was an actual puppy? Haha!

“Sorry if I made you misunderstand. I call young men who are sweet and soft ‘puppies.’ Look at him. Isn’t he especially well-behaved, just like a puppy?

“Gosh, you’re hopeless. I thought you’d apply some critical thinking and figure out I was talking about guys.

“This type is called a puppy. Your type? You’re what people call a wolf—wait, no.”

Camelia shook her head. “A wolf is passionate, energetic, and gives it all to his woman. A cold- faced guy like you doesn’t qualify. You should be called … a dog nobody wants. No, that’s not right either. You did marry Nella, after all.”

Ignoring Alfred’s expressionless face, Camelia continued, “Man, I really don’t know how Nella ended up liking such an unromantic, man like you. Are puppies not cute enough, or are wolves not hardworking enough? Nella kinda has bad taste.”

Alfred had had enough. “Do you still want your allowance?”

“Yes, yes, yes!”

Camelia nodded enthusiastically.

“I have something for you to do. Do it well, and I’ll give you your allowance.”

“What is it?”

Alfred hadn’t actually thought it through.

He just said, “Go back first. I’ll let you know when I need you.”

Camelia shrugged. “Fine.”

After Camelia left, Alfred suddenly remembered that the message he meant to send Nella wasn’t finished yet.

Chapter 114 insult or Praise

Finished

When he took out his phone and saw the message that had already been sent, his expression changed instantly.

In the surgical building.

Nella had just finished seeing a patient when her phone suddenly chimed.

She picked it up and glanced at it. It was a photo of clouds from Alfred, with a line underneath.

“Look at this dog. It looks kinda of dumb. Doesn’t it look like you?”

Nella was utterly confused.

Is that an insult?

That was her first reaction.

No way. He disappeared for days, and he suddenly sent me this to say I’m cute like a dumb puppy, right?

Nella knew she didn’t have the ability to earn such a uniquely styled compliment from Alfred.

And she definitely wasn’t self-delusional enough to think Alfred was praising her.

After one glance, she didn’t reply and shoved the phone straight into the drawer.

“Next.”

At this moment, Alfred stared at the message on his phone that couldn’t be unsent.

There was only one thought in his mind. I’m gonna kill Camelia.

She could’ve come anytime, but she had to barge in right when I was messaging Nella.

And how did that unfinished message even get sent from my pocket?

Alfred’s face turned livid.

He stared at the screen, so angry that his eyes looked ready to bleed.

He tapped at the screen, trying to explain that the sentence wasn’t finished.

But so much time has already passed. If I send an explanation now, will Nella think I’m just making

excuses?

But if I don’t explain, will she think I deliberately sent a message just to insult her?
