No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 215

Chapter 215 Going Home

She couldn’t handle another second of Alfred’s nonsense.

He’d been acting like he had two personalities for weeks.

Tonight, it was like they both showed up at the same time.

He’d spent days swearing he hated Marshal.

Finished

Then the moment they saw each other, he was calling Marshal his family and offering him a room at Emerald Vista Bay?

What, did Marshal flash a smile and suddenly Alfred fell under a spell?

The second Mason got the address from Nella, he slammed the gas.

If there weren’t speed limits, he’d have had the car flying.

There was no way he’d let that smug bastard Alfred soak in his little victory for even a second longer.

What?

Oh, you don’t want me to break things up? Yeah, not happening.

Well, screw that.

He’d build a hundred churches if it meant burning Alfred’s relationship to the ground.

Getting turned down by Nella didn’t seem to catch Alfred off guard. He looked a little down, sure, but he didn’t complain.

He just dropped her and the group off at her apartment complex.

Nella’s place sat in a mid-to-high-end community with decent security.

The moment Mason’s car pulled up, a guard stepped forward.

“Sorry, no outside cars allowed inside.”

The young guard approached the Maybach with clear respect

He definitely knew the owner wasn’t average, but he stuck to the rules.

Mason didn’t push it.

He glanced back at Alfred, who was holding Marshal, and said, “They’re not letting us through. Just carry Marshal in.”

Shockingly, Alfred didn’t argue.

He gave a soft “okay” and stepped out of the car with Marshal in his arms.

Chapter 215 Going Home

Marshal was barely over a month old. The night had rattled him.

Curled in Alfred’s arms, safe and sound, he’d dozed off on the way back, completely worn out.

Fineshed

His damp fur still reeked of sewer water, soaking Alfred’s coat and cashmere vest.

As Alfred stepped out, the stench hit the young guard straight in the nose.

The guy shot Alfred a weird look, lips pressed tight.

He looked so clean-cut, but … why did he stink like that? Did he fall into a drain?

The guard’s gaze dropped to Alfred’s pants, soaked and grimy from calf to ankle.

So yeah. He did fall in.

The guard clenched his lips even harder and stepped back two feet.

“Please come with me to register.”

Since Nella lived there, she went ahead to sign the form.

Only then did they get the green light to enter.

Mason found a spot and parked, then jogged after them with a bounce in his step. Like hell he’d admit he just wanted to walk beside his girl.

Alfred walked next to Nella, still holding Marshal.

His arm brushed her shoulder once, maybe twice. His mood had flipped like a switch.

Finding out Marshal was just a tiny baby pup had hit him with all kinds of emotions-relief, joy, surprise, guilt, a bit of shame.

It was messy. Wild.

Crazy beyond belief, even.
