Zoey stood outside the window and took several more photos. Only after that did she turn and leave, feeling pleased with herself.

The smug look on her face said it all.

She opened Alfred’s WhatsApp profile and sent every photo she had taken. Not a single one was left out.

But she couldn’t send the photo across. That was when Zoey remembered-Alfred had blocked her long ago.

The thought made her hatred for Nella grow even stronger.

Unwilling to give up, Zoey switched to another number and called Alfred. The phone rang for a long time. No one answered.

After a moment of thought, she changed plans. She sent the photos of Nella to Archie, Ryan, and a few others instead.

Yet no one dared to start eating. Everyone was watching Alfred’s expression.

“Why are you all staring at me?” Alfred said calmly as he swept his “Aren’t you eating? Aren’t you hungry?”

“Don’t-don’t look, honey,” Ryan said nervously, trying to block her. “There’s nothing worth seeing.”

Claire glared at him hard.

Ryan immediately pulled his hand back and stayed quiet.

Claire picked up his phone anyway. WhatsApp was still open. The first thing she saw was the photos Zoey had sent.

From different angles, the pictures showed Nella laughing and speaking with a strange man.

Some shots were clearly taken on purpose, making them look close and intimate.

Again, Zoey. That troublemaker never stopped.

Claire cursed silently. She was about to put the phone down when a voice message from Zoey came in.

Her finger slipped. The message started playing.

“Nella is being so intimate with this man. You really want to keep Alfred in the dark?”

Claire tried to stop it, but it was already too late.
