No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 337

Chapter 337 Ignorant Woman

:

The more Nella defended Wesley, the more Alfred’s temper snapped.

“I don’t care if I sound paranoid. He knows damn well what he’s doing with you.”

His hands clamped down on her arms, the pressure spiking as his anger surged.

“Stop being so naive.”

Nella’s face lit up with fury.

“I’m warning you, Alfred. Don’t disrespect my colleague. He saved my life. If it weren’t for him,

I might not even be standing here arguing with you. So quit acting like he’s the problem.”

That raw, unshaken trust she had in Wesley stabbed straight into Alfred’s chest.

His voice cracked when he spoke again, lips trembling.

“It was just a life debt. You can just repay him. Why act like he’s your entire world?”

Even he froze after saying that.

Nella’s eyes burned with rage and contempt.

“Yeah. That’s exactly what it is. He saved me. So to me, he comes first. Always.”

Alfred’s face drained of color.

Right then, it hit him. The way she looked at Wesley was the same way he used to look at Zoey.

So this was what it felt like.

This was what she must’ve gone through-hurt, embarrassed, and cornered.

“Alfred, stop throwing tantrums.”

Nella’s voice pulled him back. It was sharp, cold, and tired. “You said you wanted to talk, right? Let’s talk. Say everything you need to say. Right here.”.

She checked the time. Three more days.

That’s all they had left before their marriage legally ended.

Alfred pushed through the sting in his chest and forced a bitter smile.

“Fine.”

They walked into the café next to the dining area and sat down.

He ordered two black coffees.

When the server said “black coffee,” Nella’s gaze lowered. There was a flicker of resistance in her eyes.

She didn’t say anything. She sat across from him and said, “Go ahead. Whatever it is, get it out

now.”

Alfred had finally calmed down.

He looked at her face, but all he saw was impatience. The weight in his chest grew heavier.

“Seriously? You’re in that much of a hurry? You can’t spare a few extra minutes with me?”

He laughed under his breath, like it was supposed to be a joke. But it sounded way too bitter.

Even the coffee in front of him didn’t taste as bitter anymore.

Nella gave him a look like she didn’t know whether to roll her eyes or walk away.

She couldn’t believe it. This was the same man who once scheduled his meetings down to the second. And now he was wasting his time on this?

“This is what you dragged me here for?”

She raised a brow, then checked her watch.

“Sorry, but I’m not about to sit here wasting my time listening to empty crap.”

She started getting up.

Panic hit Alfred fast. He reached across the table and grabbed her arm. “Alright. Let’s get to it.”

Nella sat back down, but her patience was wearing thin.

Alfred shut his mouth tight. His jaw locked up. He had no idea where to start.

After nearly a full minute, his rough voice finally cut through the silence.
