No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 380

Chapter 380 The Truth You Won’t Accept

A moment later, Alfred walked toward him.

He had barely stopped in front of Wesley when Wesley poke, “How is Nella doing?”

His voice came out rough and hoarse.

Alfred stared hard at Wesley’s downcast eyes, then let out a cold laugh.

“You haven’t come to see her in days. Feeling guilty because you’re the one who hurt her?”

Alfred’s words made Wesley’s expression shift instantly.

His eyes snapped up to meet Alfred’s sharp, icy gaze.

The next second, Wesley scoffed.

“What do I have to feel guilty about? You’re the one who’s been breaking her heart all along, aren’t you?”

His eyes swept over Alfred with brazen contempt before he continued, “If even you don’t feel guilty for hovering around Nella day and night, why should I?”

With that, he lifted his bandaged arm for Alfred to see.

“The only reason I haven’t shown my face is because I didn’t want her to worry about me.”

Despite the obvious provocation in Wesley’s words, Alfred didn’t get angry. He simply fixed Wesley with a heavy gaze and said, “You’d better pray I don’t find anything.”

Wesley sneered, one eyebrow raised, a cold glint flickering in his eyes. “What? Planning to do to me what the old man did to my father? Kill me too?”

Wesley’s words made Alfred’s gaze turn razor-sharp in an instant.

“Did your mother tell you that?”

An aged voice suddenly spoke up from behind Wesley.

He turned around to see Regis being supported by Sebastian, his hands trembling.

The old man’s clouded eyes were filled with a storm of emotions as he repeated his question.

“Did your mother tell you that I was the one who killed our biological father?”

Wesley didn’t answer right away. He simply watched Reis’s quivering lips, then let out a faint laugh.

“What’s wrong? Don’t have the guts to own up to it?”

Regis closed his eyes, his eyelids trembling violently.

“It wasn’t me.”

His eyes opened again, steady and fixed on Wesley. “I to your mother back then that your father’s death. had nothing to do with me. But she would rather cut allies with me than believe a single word I said.”

Wesley let out another scornful laugh. “Who do you think you’re fooling? My father was just some low-level street punk back then. Who could he have possibly offended badly enough to be tortured to death and then dumped in international waters?

“And what a coincidence that right after your men went after him, he ended up dead.”

Wesley’s eyes burned with a red-hot hatred.

“You’re supposed to be a man of influence. Don’t you even have the courage to admit what you’ve done?”

Sebastian, standing beside them, frowned and spoke in low voice, “You’re exactly like your mother. No matter how Grandpa tries to explain, you refuse to liste. You’re so stubborn that you only believe what you want to believe.”

Alfred moved to his grandfather’s side and murmured a few words of comfort before gesturing for Sebastian to take the old man away.

Then he turned back to Wesley, whose eyes still blazed with hatred.

“I don’t know what kind of lies you’re telling yourself. If Grandpa really was responsible for your father’s death, he has nothing to lose by admitting it. You couldn’t touch him either way. So why would he bother denying it? Maybe, deep down, you already know the truth. You’re just not willing to accept it.”
